Unboxing ARKA by IST 1947 ☀️⌚
A watch inspired by the magnificent Konark Sun Temple, and the storytelling begins even before you reach the watch. The book-style presentation, Surya’s Rath artwork and then the reveal of that beautiful powder-blue dial. 💙
Look closer and it gets even better — those razor-sharp radial lines spread across the dial like rays of the sun, while the Konark Chakra at 6 comes alive as the running seconds. The Chakra continues onto the caseback, completing the theme beautifully.
A lovely blend of Indian heritage, architecture and watchmaking.

16th May: WristWatchFind GTG Gurgaon meetup.

Saturday was for dials, straps, wrist checks, stories, and good company.
The meetup was a reminder why this hobby is special. From vintage dress pieces to modern chronographs, every collection on display had a story behind it. Loved geeking out, learning, and just soaking in the passion.

We’ve been blown away by the stunning Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date from @glashuetteoriginal - this is one super cool watch. 🤟 The exquisite finishing and attention to detail in the design and dial are truly outstanding. 🫡

The compact stainless steel 40mm case with rounded corners is reminiscent of the design icons of the 1970s. The ‘fab green’ 💚 dial is such a pleasing colour. Full review coming soon on our website.

The @chriswardlondon C65 Super Compressor Elite is one fine watch. We love the proportions, the eye catching dial and overall look of this newly updated design.

CW have put in a significant amount of effort to redesign this model and update the classic Super Compressor technology.

Their efforts culminated in the creation of the C65 Super Compressor, where the innovative 300-micron-wide compression spring is a highlight. This remarkably thin spring, integral to the watch’s super compressor function, is visible through the exhibition case back and is accentuated by an orange aluminium ring around the perimeter of the case.
