Tired? Yes.
Happy? Yes.
Sad? All the time.
High? Probably.

Life is a rollercoaster, and a sketchy one at that. Instead of being too afraid to ride we, we accept the challenge and it will probably be okay.

When I’m feeling down I have very recent moments to look back to and remember how full my life is. Photos don’t get it all. The only way to win at life is to live and be grateful for what you have and be happy you get the chance to strive for more.

Howdy folks! 🤠 Mark your calendars for the next Echo Park Repair Fair on April 12th from 10am-1pm at @the.hunt.vintage!

Our favorite vinyl DJ @dj.daisy.van.tassel will be curating impeccable vibes as always 😌

Some other exciting things to look forward to: screenprinting with @paxbydesign — bring a blank tee! We will also have Craigslist IRL again (iykyk 😉)

And of course — free clothes swap. Limit 10 items per person!

Items we don’t take: phones, laptops, sewing machines, large appliances (eg mini fridge or bigger). For clothing, we can repair but we don’t do alterations. If you have the parts needed to fix the item, that will increase the chances of getting it fixed on the day.

Our second Repair Fair hosted by @scribble.community was a great success, and we could not have done it without the kindness of our skilled volunteers and generous sponsors! All told -- over 100 items were refurbished and diverted from landfill, in only 3 short-but-hard-workin' hours!! Big thank you to @highlandcafela for donating lunch and snacks for our team -- support them next time you are on York Blvd, they make a mean sando!! Special thanks to @losangelestoollibrary for providing free tools and @budget.purifiers.la & @cleanairlosangeles for handing out free PPE to keep our community safe. We even had @paxbydesign on site, who created our lovely tee shirt logos, screenprinting LIVE in the waiting room onto any items that community members brought in! We would love to see any media you may have captured during the event, as a volunteer or a community participant, so please DM them to us! Looking forward to the next one maybe in April or May. Saturday Nov 22 from 2pm to 4pm, bring a broken household item to @scribble.community and have a volunteer fix it FOR FREE! ❤️ Kind hearted tinker-ers will be will be available to repair your wounded clothing & textiles, damaged wood goods, small furniture, jewelry, small appliances & electronics, lamps & fans! No alteration requests for clothing please. Items will be accepted for fixing on a First-come First-serve basis, and since this is our first time organising a repair fair, we will have a 'one item per person' limit. ❤️ Join our mailing list for info on future events or to volunteer ❤️ Mutual Aid strengthens our communities and teaches us self-substainability, and fixing whats broken is a beautiful metaphor for what we as individuals can do for this troubled world. ❤️ Neighbors helping neighbors is the way we will get through these tough times! ❤️ Lets take care of each other ❤️ CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU!

𝓗𝓞𝓦𝓓𝓨 𝓨’𝓐𝓛𝓛!

allow us to introduce ourselves — we’re 𝗗𝗢𝗜𝗡’ 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 ☻

we’re a group of LA artists (unique) who like to draw and giggle and create and lose our minds together. but more importantly we are just 3 queer, mentally ill friends (did we mention we’re like so unique?) navigating this crazy world with creativity. what originally started as accountability tuesdays turned into a joint venture for collaborative art projects to support our communities.

which brings us to now! in just a few days we’ll be launching our first collaboration: a sticker fundraiser where 100% of proceeds will be donated to local organizations helping those who have been impacted by ICE raids.

while we embarked on this venture together, it’s our hope we can collab with more local artists for future projects!

so buckle up, strap in, and follow along as we continue to 𝘥𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵!
