If you told me in January of this year that I would be leading monthly workshops on pitch refinement, I’d have blushed and shaken my head in disbelief. What an HONOR it is to have this platform to engage people in translating their ideas into crafted powerful pitches that build connections with the person they are speaking with.

Last year, at #NYCCLIMATEWEEK, I made a pact with myself that I would go all in on supporting climate solutions with every skill I have. My heart is already in it but I had diversified my portfolio as far as the work I was doing. And what a wild year it has been. I’ve led 3 workshops in person at 2 climate week events and now #dcstartupandtechweek26 and it has been such a blast. Getting to sit with founders and craft word puzzles and think deeply about what information matters and is understood by different people, is nothing short but magic.

Ten days ago a bunch of COOP Members piled into a van before sunrise and headed south for the Atlanta Art Fair. After an obligatory Buc-ee’s stop, we spent the afternoon at Pullman Yards finding familiar faces, meeting galleries from around the world, and enjoying a diverse collection of talks, installations, paintings, sculptures, and more.

We ended the night with dinner and drinks at Krog Street Market, got our rest, and finished our trip on Saturday morning with shopping at Westside Market, a visit to Sander Hudson, and an afternoon at the Buckhead galleries before we headed home.

Stretching our legs (literally) and seeing contemporary work alongside each other was a great reminder of why we do this together. And now we have so many new group photos! Big thanks to the Atlanta Art Fair organizers for having us as a Cultural Partner — we came home full of ideas! 🐓

Reflectik is the creative collaboration of Téa Chura and Channing Watkins. East Nashville locals, they met at the dog park and quickly sparked a strong musical connection that combines the flavors of indie rock, ambient and art music into a dream-like, groove-based sound built around texture, movement, and atmosphere.

Rather than working from fixed roles, Téa and Channing build songs collaboratively. Their process moves freely between songwriting, improvisation, production and sound design, with each arrangement shaped as much by instinct and texture as by traditional structure.

Reflectik is interested in the space between the immediate and the abstract, music that can feel intimate and human while leaving room for ambiguity, repetition and atmosphere.

Now, Reflectik is turning that shared language into its first collection of songs, continuing to explore what happens when the boundaries between writing, performance and production are allowed to blur.

Another night of seeing and being a part of cool things. I got to take part of the gallery show opening for, Audacity. I got to perform in Nashville for the first time, see fantastic, thought provoking visual art, welcome a lot of new @freak_flag_freedom_party members and spend time w my nephew and niece. I made many connections and am looking forward performing in Nashville soon.
