Five years of building Good Black Art taught us something.

We started with a simple idea: a marketplace and cultural platform where emerging Black artists and the collectors who value, amplify, and preserve their stories could find each other.

But the more artists we met, the more collectors we listened to, and the more work we watched find its way into people’s homes, the more we understood something. We weren’t just helping people discover art.

We were helping people find the stories they wanted to live with.

For Everyone, By Us got us here. It spoke to who we were building for, and who we were building with. What we’ve learned since is what happens after that: when the art leaves The Good Studio, enters a home, and becomes part of someone’s life.

This year’s theme, “From Baltimore to the World,” is a celebration of our city as a global design hub. Free and open to the public for inspiration, learning, and connection, Design Camp ‘26 highlights the design diversity in Baltimore through talks, art installations, community-building events, and workshops. In keeping with this year’s theme, Design Camp ‘26 will bridge design cultures from around the world.

💫 Team Building with Project Genesis & Prisoner’s Pardon Advocacy. 💫

Our team had the opportunity to join Ciara Walters for her very first movement workshop: Above, Below, Within.

Our bodies are temples, and we havea duty to release our internal clutter and illuminate our shadows. Movement, especially when done freely, can be a powerful way to do so.

We enjoyed this exercise! It was a fantastic way to bond, reconnect, and end the week. This is what our team is all about: having fun while healing. And YOU should too!
