Life changed for @daniellejaneencalligraphy not along after becoming an entrepreneur. She went from managing a business to managing a diagnosis: her mom’s dementia diagnosis.

In this episode of The Group Chat… In Real Life, she shared that the hardest part of the disease progression is not being able to celebrate those business wins & milestones with her mom.

She balances full-time caregiving with part-time work and managing a small business. She says her village is STRONG!!

Cierra and I also shared our own stories with dementia and Alzheimer’s. She watched her grandmother live with it. For me, it was my maternal grandmother, uncle and bonus granny.

Sometimes you have to remind yourself YOU’RE THAT GIRL.

She recalled an experience from her preteen years — sticking up for herself after being called a racial slur. That became one of the moments that helped shaped her voice and inspired her path of advocacy and social justice.
