Back to School 🎒📚

With Kindergarten just around the corner, we’ve been busy helping our not-so-little one get ready for this big new adventure! This list of Spanish and bilingual books includes stories about first-day jitters, making new friends, people mispronouncing your name, and building the emotional resilience kids need to thrive during these changes.

Here are some of the titles we’ve been reading together to spark excitement and ease the transition.

How are you and your little ones preparing for the back-to-school season?

Comment below with what back to school books you’ve been reading with your kiddos!

My Mind is a Mountain / Mi mente es una montaña is a book that can be read in both English and Spanish. Written by Cindy Montenegro and illustrated by Ngobile Adigun. Available to purchase on Amazon.

🎧Listen on Spotify or anywhere you listen to podcasts (Apple is coming soon)

Book overview:
My mind is a mountain, powerful and strong! A little boy goes on a journey to discover a full range of emotions, from feelings of great enthusiasm and happiness to those of sorrow and anger. My mind is a mountain is a metaphor for the heights a mind can reach in powerfully handling all emotions from the lowest of the lows to the highest of the highs - and everything in between.
