Today my heart is SO full. I’m SO proud and SO grateful to say that I made it to the next level .as
today I went to pick up my certificate that says I’m officially allowed to join the A2 class on Monday... and I can’t wait!! This has been a journey of late nights, heavy concentration, and so much learning but it was worth every single second.I feel like I’m becoming more important to this world, one word at a time. And the reason I push so hard is because of the footsteps I’m walking in.

My great late grandfather was a translator in our King’s office, translating from Luganda to English. My father tells me stories about him all the time how kind he was, how loved he was by everyone, and how great he was at his work. Today I feel him with me. I know he’s resting in eternal peace in heaven, and I believe with all my heart that he is smiling down and so proud of me right now.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. To my family, my beloved friends sisters and brothers your encouragement keeps me going. I am so determined to keep pushing until I can have long, real conversations with my German friends. I will appreciate every single person who helps me keep racing toward this goal. And my biggest prayer Someday, I pray that I will make it to Germany 🇩🇪🤲 I’m believing for it, I’m working for it, and I know God is with me every step.

Sometimes your shoe comes untied mid show and you have to roll with it.

Thanks to my fire family for helping me get here and thanks to the safeties for making sure I didn't die.

We made it through the most challenging day at the festival, and on Sunday the sun peaked out just enough to help us reset and find joy again. ☀️

The venue was a gray mud pit, and I was rocking my rain boots with gratitude. 🥾

My hoop workshop didn’t happen on time or as planned, but I had been able to attract and teach a few curious souls earlier that day, including this one older man. He was not the type I expected to see eagerly joining a hula hoop workshop, but he gave it a try and to my surprise, picked it up quickly! 🌀

When the music kicked off, I was drawn in by the nostalgic sounds of the Grateful Dead cover band. 🎶

Back in my early hoop days, I spent my time deepening into flow state in front of live music, often of the classic hippie variety, so this really brought me back. As I approached the front of the stage, where the vibes are strongest, I recognized that same old man! Barefoot and dancing enthusiastically. 🕺

I brought two hoops with me and I didn’t hesitate to hand him one. We proceeded to jam and cultivate so much joy together for the next few songs. 🪩✨

This was absolutely a highlight of the weekend and proved to me a few things:
💛 Joy is always possible even after or amidst a storm.
💛 It’s never too late, and you’re never too old to dance, play, and hula hoop!!

Thank you to Sterling Stage for the magick, to the band for bringing the good vibes, to the photographers that captured the moment, and of course to the old man who inspired everyone by being brave enough to keep playing. 🙏🌈
