Had the chance Friday night to see Level 3 . It’s a sobering sight. I remember so many great nights, gigs and memories from this amazing space. To see it unused with all its amazing potential is really sad.
Makes me think, we’ve all heard people asking which person in power can make changes for the better in this country…. We need to stop looking to men in suits to do it for us… it won’t happen. It’s us that can make the changes . If you want to see changes in the community, go into the community and do something. If you want local shops - use them, if you want local pubs - buy a pint, if you want help for the vulnerable - go volunteer. If you want great gigs and venues like this could be - go to the freakin’ gigs !! Audiences AND MUSICIANS alike can’t expect great gigs unless we patronise the venues. They can’t survive without our help. It’s a symbiotic relationship… we can’t just take. I know as much as anyone how hard it can be right now, but let’s help rebuild these places and keep existing venues alive. All we have to do is show up and have fun. Who doesn’t want that !!

Please share this if you feel the same.

Fantastic couple of gigs this weekend…..

Played the last gig of the era at the Rolly supporting the ever stunning @circu5. Great and welcoming crowd… wishing Matt all the best for the future. Being joined onstage by @paulrnewguitar made my evening…. First time on stage together for almost 30 years !!

Then cut to Saturday afternoon…. Chuffed to be opening a very soggy Elcotfest. Fair play to the brave and hardy souls who stayed to watch in some horrendous weather.

See everyone at a gig soon …..

Thanks to @audasmusic @donnatofield @neilpm @preraphalite for the pics

Today's the final time I will be opening The Rolly. But we're going out with a 💥bang!💥. Here's the plan!

Music from Firefly @ 8:30pm
Music from CIRCU5 @ 9:15pm
25% of all drinks
Open until the taps run dry or 2am (whichever comes first)

And all this for zero ticket price. Come and help us celebrate our final night here.

See you at the bar!

I never get on the bed with the hoomans, no matter how much the Short-Arsed One begs me to. However, it's Christmas, innit. Apparently, now it's 'the best Christmas ever'. It doesn't take much to make that daft woman happy, does it?

""Clockwork Tulpa blurs the lines between progressive and alternative rock, between harder sounds and the brilliantly understated. It is the perfect blend of muscle and melody, of grace and grit, and indeed groove, of power and poignancy, of lyricism and literacy."

Many thanks to @garrypfoster and @wcrfm for having us on 'The Prog Rock Files' and playing our music alongside some fantastic tracks from @thingsastheyappear , @cosmografhq , @circu5 and @solsticeproguk .
Without the support and backing of all the podcasters, radio presenters and writers/reviewers that cover our music it would be a lot harder to get it out to the outside world. Thanks to all of you 🙏
