VICTORY: A federal court just ruled that DOJ’s effort to consolidate sensitive voter data violates the law and illegally intrudes on states’ authority over elections. Today’s decision is a critical check on a broader effort to nationalize control over our elections, but the work continues. With 2026 midterms nearing, the DOJ's actions are part of a larger effort to deceive the public with false election claims and deny results they don't like. By defending privacy and the rule of law, we can protect the future of free and fair elections. We are privileged to have represented @ourcommoncause and four courageous TX voters in this case, alongside co-counsel , @aclu_nationwide, @acluofdc, @citizensforethics, and the Democracy & Rule of Law Clinic at Harvard Law School. Read more at the link in our bio. A poster titled "Victory" features bold red text stating, "Federal Court Blocks DOJ's Unlawful Voter Data Demands." Subtext reads, "Ruling guards voter information from federal overreach." The design includes an image of the Statue of Liberty and stylized American flag elements on a navy and cream background.

Since taking office in 2025, Donald Trump has become $2 billion richer. Meanwhile, his sons are gaining infinitely more wealth with ZERO accountability—all while Americans struggle. This is the most corrupt Administration in history.

Trump is using the power of the presidency to enrich himself and his allies at the expense of everyday Americans. Americans should not be forced to bear the costs of corruption while the president and his allies use public office for personal financial gain.

DHS has been trying to hide the fact that’s it’s building a citizenship list after a judge told it not to. It’s using data it knows is flawed on a timeline that’s impossible to meet. Full story in the bio.

@theintercept and @freedomofthepressfoundation moved in federal court Tuesday to preliminarily enjoin President Donald Trump from providing early access to his social media posts to those willing to pay $100,000 per month to his social media platform, Truth Social. In July, the CEO of Truth Social’s parent company announced Truth API, a service that would provide paying investors early access to “market-moving” messages from the president and other officials on the platform. Truth API launched Aug. 1 and has already reportedly signed up more than 10 customers. In response to this illegal scheme, The Intercept and FPF filed a federal lawsuit on Aug. 12 against Trump and other White House officials. As plaintiffs explained, the president’s scheme violates the Constitution’s First and Fifth amendments by giving unequal access to official government information to those who pay his private company. The plaintiffs’ motion yesterday asks the Court to immediately block the president and the other defendants in this case, including White House aides Natalie Harp and Dan Scavino, from posting on Truth Social so long as the president can profit from selling early access to government information. The plaintiffs are represented by @citizensforethics, @yalelawschool’s Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic, the @publicintegrityproject, and Altshuler Berzon LLP. “The Trump administration is trying to keep government records hidden from the public, including by ignoring the Freedom of Information Act and the Presidential Records Act,” said Seth Stern, chief of advocacy at FPF. “In the meantime, Trump is using his official statements on Truth Social as profiteering opportunities, charging seven figures per year for premium access. It’s a corrupt assault on the Constitution that harms members of the press and public who don’t line the president’s pockets. That’s why we’re suing to stop it.” Read more at the link in our profile. 📸: @APNews Photo/ @julia.nikhinson

@citizensforethics BREAKING: We just filed a lawsuit, alongside Protect Democracy & on behalf of EPIC, to block the Trump admin's illegal effort to interfere in the 2026 midterms by compiling Americans' sensitive data to pick and choose who gets to vote.
