I’ve visited this café at CityCenterDC several times and found it to be a great spot for people-watching, whether you’re seated or standing by the window. Indoor seating is limited, but the space feels cozy. They offer a variety of creative gelato and sorbet flavors, plus coffee, tea, and other drinks. However, the baked goods and snacks are quite limited. Service is good, and overall, it’s an excellent place to enjoy a coffee, matcha latte, or gelato.

A race against time, a celebration of life, and a reminder of the extraordinary beauty of the natural world.

A Wild Race Against Time by Gillie & Marc brings wildlife into the urban landscape of Washington, D.C., inviting us to pause, reflect, and consider the delicate balance between humanity and the animal kingdom. Through their signature sculptural storytelling, the artists transform public space into a conversation about conservation, coexistence, and the urgency of protecting our planet’s most vulnerable species.

Art that captures the imagination while speaking to something far greater than itself. 🌍

There are 17 sculptures including the one which holds the title sign.

The first of the sculptures depicted in addition to the title holders is:
The Polar Bear Races on Skis 🐻‍❄️
