Your dream hair doesn’t have to wait until 2027. 🤍

The holiday season is quickly approaching. If you’ve been considering hair extensions, a custom crown topper, a Mesh or Meshless Integration System, now is the time to schedule your consultation.

Custom hair transformations require time, thoughtful planning, and in many cases custom ordering. I want to make sure we have the time to create a solution that’s truly right for you and your lifestyle.

To accommodate more guests before the holidays, I’ve extended my salon hours for November and December!

✨ Holiday Salon Hours

* Tuesday–Thursday | 10 AM–5 PM
* Friday | 10 AM–3 PM

My final day behind the chair for 2026 is December 23.

As the holidays approach, availability will become increasingly limited. Once my schedule is full, new appointments will move into 2027. A waitlist is available if you’d like to be notified when an earlier appointment becomes available.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to invest in yourself and the hair you’ve always wanted, consider this your little reminder. 🤍

Let’s start with a consultation and create a plan completely customized to YOU.

📍 Refinery Salon & Co. | Cedar Rapids, Iowa

✨ Schedule your consultation at www.deannabean.com or join the waitlist to be notified about cancellations and newly available appointments.

What an incredible Indigenous Peoples Day celebration! We are so grateful to everyone who came out, showed up, and celebrated with us.

A heartfelt thank you to the speakers and dancers:

- Eagle Feather Singers and Dancers -- your demonstrations filled the day with song, dance, and beauty alongside the beat of the drum
- Quite Soules -- for sharing your incredible words with us
- Egan Greenwalt from the University of Iowa Native American Student Association for representing the next generation of Indigenous leaders
- Our own Representation Director at Great Plains Action Society, Jessica Engelking, for hosting.

And a very special thank you to Iowa City Parks and Recreation — Malory Smysor and crew — for making this event possible and welcoming our community so warmly. You really showed up with the bounce houses, kids activities and sensory tent.

Shout out to all the amazing organizations that tabled! IC Parks and Recreation, IC Human Rights and Equity Dept, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, League of women Voters, Ul Office of the State Archaeology, CommUnity, Quiet Soul, UI NASA, and lowa City Mutual Aid! You are making a difference!

To every volunteer who lent a hand, every performer who shared their gift, every speaker who shared their voice, and every community member who showed up in solidarity — we are sensing you lot's of love! Days like today showcase our thriving and powerful culture and traditions and also push back at harmful colonial constructs like columbus day.

We can't wait to see you again next year! 🖤💛❤💙

The City proudly recognizes Indigenous Peoples’ Day, celebrated on October 12, 2026.

This acknowledgment of truth recognizes the original stewards of this land and honors their resilience, contributions, rich histories, and cultures.

Thank you to Joe Maxwell of Great Plains Action Society for accepting the proclamation and joining in this important recognition.

A little brightness in all the right places. 🤎✨

Highlights don't always have to mean going dramatically lighter. Sometimes, adding dimension and a few brighter pieces is exactly what your hair needs to feel refreshed. And with results like this, we think the highlights speak for themselves. 🤌

Even better? Right now, you can book a highlight starting at just $39 through our online booking promotion! Your next hair appointment might be calling your name. 💌
