POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Every Halloween, I like to head out to @craigies_farm_shop, buy myself a ridiculously large pumpkin, carve a face into it, and then proceed to wear it on my head.

What follows next is typically some sort of strange activity. Dancing, skipping, sword fighting. You know...average weekend activities. This one we're pulling out from 2023 with @feyrewellness
And @alanis_in_wonderland

I'll be heading out again soon to obtain some more pumpkins. What I need now is some pumpkin head activity suggestions!

From sea to sauna...

Cool swims. Warm saunas.

Sandy feet. Star-filled skies.

With Mossyard Beach just five minutes from the retreat, some of the best summer days are also the simplest.

End the day beneath Galloway's Dark Skies, where, on a clear night, the Milky Way stretches overhead.

That's summer at Isles of Fleet Retreat.

For thousands of years, people have gathered to celebrate the Summer Solstice through rituals, traditions and simple moments of connection with nature and the past. 🌾

For guests staying at Isles of Fleet Retreat this weekend, here are five simple ways to mark the occasion, all on our doorstep, if not from your balcony:-

✨️Visit Cairn Holy Chambered Cairns.
Built around 5,000–6,000 years ago, these remarkable Neolithic monuments pre-date the Great Pyramids of Egypt. While not aligned to the solstice, they remain a wonderfully atmospheric place to pause and reflect on those who stood here thousands of years before us.
🌅 Watch the sunrise or sunset.
The Solstice reminds us to slow down and notice the beauty in simple moments.
🥾 Walk into the hills
Climb Cairnharrow, Ben John and Barholm Hill and watch the light stretch across the Galloway landscape.
🌊 Take a Solstice dip at Mossyard Bay
Feel the sea, the sand and the rhythm of the tides on one of Scotland's most beautiful beaches.
🔥 Unwind in your private wood-fired sauna
Watch the evening light fade across Fleet Bay before darkness reveals one of Scotland's finest dark sky landscapes.

With sunshine currently forecast for the weekend, there may be no better time to experience the magic of a Galloway midsummer.

Whether you're marking the Summer Solstice or simply seeking a moment to reconnect with nature, these timeless rituals are waiting to be enjoyed in every season.

What would your Summer Solstice ritual be? ✨

Bartering | Energy Trade ‏๛

I fully believe we should support each other and come together like communities did many years ago. I often trade talents with friends and swap our work to help each other out, so here is a list of things I’d accept in return for my offerings. (Photography, Wellness, Womens Circles, Sound Therapy, Cold Water Guidance, Sacred Salts)

Tree surgeon work
Photography
Locally sourced meat
Massage
Hair appointments
Cacao
Grass Cutting
Home Bakes & Honey
