Grand Plaza’s historic marble architecture is a HUGE part of what makes it so beautiful! But all those detailed surfaces can also create acoustic challenges, especially when you add a band/DJ, presentations or a room full of guests. We know the event space, we know its quirks, and we’ve spend years learning how to work with them. Great sound in Grand Plaza Starts with a little planning and the right approach. Here are a few ways we work with a space to create a better audio experience! One of the ways we help manage sound in grand Plaza is with our sound panels! These thick, wheat colored drapery panels are placed over the historic doorways around the room to help absorb sound reflections. They are a thoughtful way to work with the architecture we love while helping create a more comfortable audio experience for your guests. Another option to consider is separation drapery! Using the same wheat color panels as our sound panels, this additional drapery can be placed strategically in the area where your stage, presentations, or DJ/band will be set up. The goal is to help manage sound reflections and create a more intentional set up for the audio portion of your event. This is an add-on, but if clear audio is an essential part of your vision, it’s worth discussing with our team during the planning process. We’ll help you determine what makes the most sense for your layout! When it comes to sound in Grand Plaza, the location of your stage matters! There is not one perfect set up for every event. The right choice depends on your floor plan, entertainment, and overall vision – which is why it’s worth talking through these details before event day! If there’s one thing we’d really encourage you to do when planning an event in Grand Plaza, it’s to work with vendors who know the space. We cannot emphasize this enough! An experienced A/V team who has worked here before already understands the unique considerations that come with the room. We’ve seen teams in this space, we know who takes the time to understand the room and who has experience delivering great sound here.
