2025 was a great year on the trail. Great times, wonderful new friends, and amazing places here in SoCal and on retreat! Wonderful memories that will last forever! We wrote our story the way we wanted to regardless of the noise. We found peace and respite.
It’s time for 2026! What will your story be this year? Machu Picchu, the Sierras, the San Gabriels, or perhaps Southern Utah?!
Let’s get started together!

Ready for the adventure of a lifetime? 🌄✨

Join us in Peru this July for a transformational journey through Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu.

Enjoy yoga in ancient sites like Pisac, Pumamarka, and Palcoyo; sound baths, spa time, nourishing meals, local ceremonies, markets, and hikes through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth.

Enter Machu Picchu through the legendary Sun Gate at sunset, return for sunrise meditation, climb Huayna Picchu, visit Rainbow Mountain, and end each day with restorative yoga at our stunning retreat center Munay Sonqo, or our hotels including Sanctuary Lodge, and Monasterio.

This is not just a trip—it’s a spiritual, cultural, and energetic immersion you’ll carry for life. ✨🇵🇪🧘‍♀️

Don’t miss our October Sunset and moonlight hike! October 5th at 5pm…on Potato Mountain! This is a level 1-2 hike and we have loaner headlamps/poles if we need them. Likely we will be able to hike by the light of the moon though, which is pure magic!

Sturtevant camp in the San Gabriels was built in the late 1800’s and is lovingly cared for by a local non profit group. We have had some good times there and many more to come.
They need help cleaning up a tree that fell on one of the cabins and we are putting together a team of volunteers for a work day on October 11th. We will have fun, help out, and of course enjoy a beautiful hike through the canyon to get there!
For intimation and to please visit our half day hiking page and read about the project and sign up to join us! www.vagabondretreats.com/half-day-la-hikes/

What a wonderful day to be in nature! Some hikes are epic because of distance or challenge, others for bragging rights…
But this one was all about enjoying our friends at a beautiful and remote waterfall! What a perfect Fathers Day morning (selfishly 😂😂😂)

What a surreal hike! Fog and rain as we drove to the trailhead breaking above the clouds. Sunshine on the peak for lunch with while cloud tops at our feet🙌 Then hikes back down as wispy clouds billowed plans over the trail shrouding the peaks in front of us!
Such a beautiful site and the clouds cover was welcome protection as this trail has little to no shade. Mileage was 7.4 my app glitched before we finished and missed the last bit of our return!
