Cringe-posting on main, let’s go! I had debated whether or not to post this @gravel_worlds finisher’s portrait, as it captured me in a pretty raw and vulnerable state. Looks like I just came back from The War or something. And I guess in some ways I did: a war with myself over ~77 miles and 5 hours. I emerged victorious over the version of myself that didn’t think I could do it, that was intimidated by the number of participants, that legit thought I could die out there. It turns out that I had my best performance in my longest race with most elevation gain - smoked my pace from a few weeks prior that was essentially half the distance/climbing. We’re all so much stronger than we know.

This is my literal face (after 150-miles of Nebraska gravel) 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Happy to return to this event after my first go-round last year, and I was also very happy to recognize @clare.paniccia behind the lens at the portrait studio post-race [!]

P30 in the pro men’s field may not have made me rich in prize money, but I’m happy with my fitness and am feeling more and more comfortable in this field every race

Thanks to @gravel_worlds for another amazing event and for the most beautiful sunrise in gravel racing 🌅

Photo credit to @clare.paniccia. Pictures say a thousand words. Well this photo says how extremely excited I was to finish my FIRST of many @gravel_worlds. 78 miles of gravel in Nebraska is NO joke! Some is smooth, some is sandy, a lot of it is loose, but most importantly the whole ride was EXTREMELY gratifying!! @jasonstrohbehn and crew are top notch and know how to put on a banger of an event! I didn’t get a course record but the experience and friendships I gained from this past weekend are over the top! Here’s to many many more gravel adventures. #ridingwithhydrocephalus #praypedalrepeat

With volunteers in place, I was able to drive around @clare.paniccia and @mattycwills with @valcott navigating our photo spots. This is year five of @teamsoundpony event put in by @tonyrusselltv and other teammates! We pride ourselves with a great racer/rider experience and the Soundpony vibe complete with a street pizza party afterwards!

This one’s special. Four years ago, I won the inaugural Audacity Osage County race. Saturday, I was back on the top step!

I counted myself out before the race even began. Knowing the competition, I assumed I was fighting for second. I hung on as long as I could but was dropped from the lead group at mile 14. I grouped up with Matt for the evening ahead. Noodle joined us next, and as the evening wound down, our group slowly grew, picking up rider after rider.

With less than five miles to go, Harry spotted a motorcycle up ahead: “That’s the lead woman!” I was in disbelief. The guys urged me to chase just in case, and surprisingly we caught Morgan. The final miles ramped up with attacks as we fought to separate before the line. We ripped through the final two corners, and I stood up and sprinted for the win!

Our cycling community SHOWS UP 👏 EVERY 👏 DAMN 👏 TIME 👏.

We get to put on our FIFTH AUDACITY: OSAGE COUNTY on 8/1.

2024 was a really special year. It’s so cool seeing everyone line up, smash the gravel and finish downtown under the Tulsa skyline.
