Here's the first complete video from my recent CD Release Concert at the Silverlake Conservatory of Music! Tô Chegando means "Almost There" or "I'm Arriving" in English. Here in the U.S., we say, "I'm almost there" when we are literally close or a few minutes away. I learned that when a Brazilian says "Tô Chegando", you just never know how long it wil take! It could be an hour or more. It just means that they intend to arrive eventually. I thought this was a very funny cultural interpretation. The Brazilians love this story and say it's true!! The song begins with a solo violin riff that imitates the sound of a car driving down the street but never arrives. Tô Chegando!! See you down the road! With @evascow, @wesleygt.amorim, @claricecast, @ben.remp and John Leftwich

Some reviews of Tô Chegando-Almost there #tochegando #almostthere #tedfalcon
“Falcon’s violin sings like a happy Brazilian bird. He is the premier choro violinist in the world. All of this music is rich in culture and inspires the feet to dance.
Musical Memoirs by Dee Dee McNeil

“One of the most exotic, intoxicating and whimsically romantic albums of the year. There are plenty of cultural-specific reasons to admire and embrace Tô Chegando – Almost There, the 11th album by Ted Falcon that serves as a wondrous showcase for the versatile violinist, mandolinist and composer’s vast artistry… a highly adventurous, not to mention cheerfully exotic and infectious, journey”
Jonathan Widran - JW Vibe

Violin Mastery of the Choro: "These lively compositions and their studio performances will bring forth smiles and perhaps some playful dance twirling. Ted Falcon plays a mean Fadolin.” Debra Jan Bibel

“A hybrid CD, with Brazilian jazz and choro, which is actually a mix of African, European and American music styles. Quite fun!”
Patrick Van de Wiele - Culture Mania (Belgium)
“Rather impressive”
Paul Rigby - Audiophile Man (Australia)

“Mucho Sabor!”
Toni Basanta - The Cuban Bridge (Vermont)
