I should have posted this since last week, but I believe someone needs this prayer at the beginning of this new month. ❤️

Happy New Month, everyone! 🎉

As we step into this new month, my prayer for you is that the grace of God will speak for you where your strength cannot.

May every chain holding you back be broken.
May God bring freedom where there has been bondage.
May He make a way where there seems to be no way.
May you receive grace for every battle, wisdom for every decision, strength for every weakness, and peace in every storm.

May this month bring you closer to God and may you experience His presence, His power, His mercy and His goodness in a way you have never experienced before.

Whatever you are trusting God for, may He answer you according to His perfect will.

Welcome to a new month.
This month, may you walk in freedom, grace, and the fullness of God's purpose for your life. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏽

Watch this prayer and receive it by faith. 💪🙏

Happy New Month! 🌟

What if Independence Day became more than a celebration of where Nigeria came from?
What if it became a moment to ask where we are going

On October 1, 2026, Back to the Drawing Board: A Burden for the Nigeria We Deserve officially launches.

This is not a book written from the comfort of certainty. It is an attempt to ask uncomfortable questions:
What have we normalised?
What have we misunderstood about citizenship?
Why do we repeatedly reward personality over principle?
What happens when survival becomes our national operating system? And what would it take to redesign our expectations of leadership, institutions and ourselves?

The drawing board is not a place for nostalgia.
It is a place for honesty.

This week, before the book arrives, tell me one thing you would put on Nigeria’s drawing board if you had the chance to start the conversation again.

Drop your one “drawing-board item” in the comments.

Government matters, but the government cannot become the answer to every question about how a society works.
We sometimes expect government to create jobs, fix every road, police every community, educate every child, provide every opportunity and solve every social problem. Then, when government fails, we conclude that nothing can change. Meanwhile, a healthy society is not built by the government alone.

Government has responsibilities. Businesses have responsibilities. Institutions have responsibilities. Communities have responsibilities. Citizens equally have responsibilities.

The point is not to create a false equivalence. A government with enormous public power carries enormous public responsibility, but citizens also have agency.

Back to the Drawing Board asks us to recover that distinction: What should government do? What should institutions do?
What should communities do? And what should we, as citizens, do?

We cannot build a better Nigeria by outsourcing citizenship.🤔

This week, let’s stop asking only, “What will government do?”
Ask: “What is my responsibility—and what is the responsibility of the people I have given power to?”

There is a dangerous moment in the life of a nation: when people stop asking why something is broken and start teaching themselves how to live with it. We learn the power situation. We plan around traffic. We budget for private healthcare. We expect poor service. We laugh about what should make us angry. We call it “Nigeria factor” and move on. Adaptation is necessary for survival. But adaptation can become acceptance. The question is not whether Nigerians are resilient. We are. The harder question is: what have we become so used to surviving that we have stopped demanding that it should change? This is where we begin. Back to the Drawing Board is not an invitation to complain about Nigeria. It is an invitation to examine the assumptions, systems, habits and choices that have made dysfunction feel normal. This week, name one thing you have become accustomed to that you believe should never have become normal. Don’t just say what is wrong. Ask: What should replace it? #BackToTheDrawingBoard

I had the qualifications. Then I changed countries — and none of it seemed to count.
I knew there was a need to strategize. I took some strategies and got unbelievable results which I have documented in the Strategic Professional.

They called me olodo. The dunce. Last in my class, all through primary school. My dad once cried over my report card, not knowing what to do with me. Today I advise on national economic policy in Canada.

I tried to fit my story into a one minute reel. The in-betweens aren’t here.

Let me use the caption for what I didn’t want to leave out.

To my roommates in Moremi Hall, Unilag, who fed me on the days I was hungry. To the friends who housed me when I had nothing. I don’t know if any of this would have been possible without you.

And to my then boyfriend, now husband. A broke corper who shared his “alawee” with me anyway and took care of me at every step, long before the story made sense. You’re my hero for life. Words will never describe how much I love you @adekoluoladapo

If you’re in your own messy middle right now, we’d probably get along. Failure and loss can look permanent. They are not. Keep going, you’ll see the light soon 🤍

All glory to Jesus, my helper 🥹. He is the reason I keep surmounting every curve life throws.

Once labelled olodo and bullied by teachers who considered her a dull child in school, Simi Adekolu has turned that painful chapter of her childhood into a remarkable story of resilience.

Today, she is an economist advising on economic policy at the federal level in Canada.

Her story is powerfully reminds us that the labels placed on children do not have to define the adults they become.

Kudos @claritywithsimi. You did that! 🧡

You weren't just hired. You were sent. 🕊️❤️

Session 9 of Cohort 2: "Called to Excel", reminded us that excellence isn't about pressure or performance. It's worship. It's stewardship. It's showing up in rooms that weren't designed for you, carrying a standard that speaks before you do.

Our facilitator @claritywithsimi walked our women through what it means to move from reactive to strategic; naming what's hard with clarity, not bitterness, and trusting God with what only He can do while doing what He's equipped us to do.

"Do you see a woman skilled in her work? She will serve before kings." — Proverbs 22:29

Your gifts were never meant to stay hidden. Walk into your workday knowing you don't walk in alone.
