Back in May I travelled to a starry patch of a Provence to spend 48 hours at @chateaumargui, an estate belonging to Skywalker Retreats — the portfolio of wineries owned by Star Wars creator George Lucas and his wife, businesswoman Mellody Hobson.

This year Château Margüi beat household names to become the official wine supplier for the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, located just an hour’s drive from the estate — a choice the general manager attributed to the festival's "rebel attitude".

Cue my red carpet debut, farm-to-table spreads and free-flowing rosé to the tune of chirping cicadas.

Read all about the experience in the September issue of Business Traveller🍷
