Miloh would like to remind everyone that she is the one hustling and putting in the hours at @cleanloopcanine and it would be nothing without her. She performs best in front of a live audience but she was also happy to work in front of the camera to show off a little.

Please enjoy these clips of Winnie the retriever swimming for the first time and Nashadi looking like it’s her first time swimming (it’s not).

Happy fourth and remember, no one is illegal on stolen land. 🏞️🪶🦅

After our lesson today, I think it’s safe to say that Miloh has real potential as a search and rescue dog. Prior to this, I had only done some very amateur scent work with her at our local park—but even then, her enthusiasm was impossible to miss.

The president of our working dog club arranged a meet-and-greet with Lisa, who was kind enough to spend time with me and another club member ahead of an official search and rescue practice.

I feel incredibly honored to learn from people like Lisa, who bring years of experience and knowledge to the table.

Please enjoy this clip of Miloh finding club member @tylerhampton88 at what can only be described as Mach 10 speed.

Much fun was had by all puppers and people.

Sad but excited to announce I am moving Nashadi on. She will join @cleanloopcanine and go on to continue in the working dog world however my interest in pairing her with Nsika has passed due to her very slight nerve issues. Yall know how picky I am. I got plans and nothing will water down what ive built in Nsika. I cant wait to raise my own female one day as I know I will get what I want. Its unfortunate I couldnt raise Nashadi myself from the start. Shes so cute and a wonderful lady. Shes just kinda a freak in ways im not a fan of and its not what needs to be passed forward. Im lucky @klachanc loves her and is looking for a mastiff to get into sport with! Theyre going to be a very cute team! #PreservationBreeder #BreedBetter #BePicky #Boerboel #WorkingDogs

She’s done it again!

A ribbon for second place and a ribbon for her RAT Novice title. It was debatably her most impressive run yet and I received a compliment from a seasoned judge on my handling. She located an empty tube and a tube filled with litter before coming across the tube with the rat inside. I intervened as little as possible and trusted her when she quickly passed by the two first tubes. When she did find the tube with the Rat it was very clear and the celebration was big!

Huge thanks to the Gem City Rat Rompers for putting on a great event. Your hospitality and kindness are unmatched.

We can’t expect to pick up exactly where we left off. 🐾💪

When my dogs forgot their off-leash training, it wasn’t because they couldn’t do it anymore- it was because I’d stopped being consistent. The fix? Go back to basics. Small steps. Rewards. Rebuilding trust.

Fitness works the same way. If you’ve lost your rhythm, don’t expect to dive back in at 100%. Start small, create wins, and let consistency bring back the results (and the joy).

👉 What’s one small step you’re focusing on this week?

Ps s/o to @cleanloopcanine for all of your dog behavior needs!!

I made a very vague post the other day that mentioned September being a difficult month. It was so vague that a friend thought maybe Drew and were splitting up. Drew and I are doing great and I’ve made a video clarifying the changes September has brought.

The mentioned link is in my bio.
