For 25 years, Arc’teryx and BEAMs have bridged worlds, creating expressive pieces that perform in the mountains. To celebrate this anniversary, we’re releasing a collection of reinterpreted pieces, connecting the space between climbing and street culture.⁣

The soundtrack has the power to transport us instantly to a particular state of mind, emotion, or place. It is not only the music that carries the emotional narrative, but also the use of sound effects, foley, and the balance between dialogue and score, and the way these elements interact with one another.

Nouveau Regard, directed by @renegrincourt_ , takes us to a dreamlike place, while its soundtrack completes the magical atmosphere surrounding these exceptional climbers. Set in Chamonix,a valley steeped in the history of high-altitude alpinism, the film follows @clem_lechap , @jimpopeonarope , and @ashimashiraishi as they develop a new alpine bouldering zone high above the valley floor.

Rather than chasing raw performance, their process becomes an exercise in slow, attentive movement. As climate change reshapes the Alps, this humble approach to the stone offers a way to listen, adapt, and reconnect with a changing landscape. The film’s creative vision extends across every aspect of its production, from the imagery and pacing to its immersive sound design.

Congratulations to the entire team, and especially to the composer of the original score, Alban Schelbert (@trostros ), for creating a soundtrack that completes the film’s dreamlike and magical atmosphere.

An intimate, uncompromised look back at alpine bouldering in Chamonix. Climbing not to conquer the landscape, but as a mechanism to listen to it.

In May, as part of Arc’teryx Presents in Paris, “Nouveau Regard” took over the gallery with an exclusive exhibition, film premiere, and collective dialogue.
