Òyígíyigì, ota omi was inspired by sea stones.
It’s the continuation of our exploration on how we can use design to make a piece of fabric embody peace.

This project cut across materiality to process, to design. The choice of linen/cotton for this piece was intentional as it serves as the most natural foundation to making a piece that embodies peace. Hand made in Ibadan,Nigeria using tye indigenous Adire alabela textile designing method

They say culture is remembered through stories. Sometimes, those stories are worn. Meet Eso Temiloluwa, a textile artist and the founder of Clicks Aladire. Through the indigenous craft of Adire, he's preserving heritage, telling relatable stories, and proving that tradition can still speak to today's generation.

We all are artists, our fingerprints are more than a mark of identity, they are our signature as an artist?

Every human carries a unique code on their fingertips, signing the work of our lives with every touch.

We leave prints through our words, our actions, our choices, our relationships, and even our inactions. Whether consciously or unconsciously, every life we touch carries some evidence of our presence.

A'FOWOBA FIILE
In Yoruba, *afowoba* means to touch, while *f’iile* translates to mean to drop or leave behind.
To touch is to leave something behind. It is almost impossible to touch without leaving a print.

For this performance, I dipped my hand directly into a dye bath and pressed it through the textile, allowing the dye to stain the fabric and my prints to become part of the work.

The material became a record of touch.

But the textile is only a metaphor for life.

Because long after our hands are gone, the prints remain.
