Peru took a historic step by banning the use of glyphosate on food crops due to its link to serious, life-threatening diseases like cancer. This measure protects both those who work the land and those of us who consume its produce. Farmers face acute daily exposure to pesticides that compromise their health. These chemicals contaminate the soil, leach into the water supply, and leave residues on the food that reaches our tables. Industrial agriculture harms our bodies and communities. But regenerative practices demonstrate that it is possible to control pests by working in harmony with nature’s cycles, without relying on harsh chemicals. Reducing pesticide use regenerates the soil, fosters biodiversity, and protects public health. How can you support regenerative agriculture? 🌱 Get to know and purchase from your local farmers, and join the call to ban glyphosate worldwide.
