Last night was one of those nights I wish I could bottle up. ❤️

So many friends. So much music. So many deep convos and hugs. So much laughter. From an incredible Phish show to riding the rail at the Biscuits,saying hi to Logic & Friends, very late night eats at Tony’s Baltimore, and somehow making it all the way to 3:30am completely sober. 🎶

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I stopped and realized: I am genuinely, deeply happy.

This last year has been one of the hardest of my life. I’ve had to dig really deep, do a lot of healing, sit with some uncomfortable things, and keep choosing myself even when it was hard. I’ve worked my ass off to get to a better place.

And last night, I could feel the benefits of that work.

Not because everything is perfect. Not because life suddenly got easy. But because I was completely present for it. I wasn’t worrying about tomorrow. I wasn’t thinking about what might go wrong. I was just there — surrounded by people I love, listening to music I love, laughing until my face hurt, and soaking up every damn second.

There is something pretty incredible about realizing that the life you’ve been working so hard to get back to is actually happening.

I am happy. Like, REALLY happy. And I am so damn grateful. ❤️

3:30am was apparently the appropriate bedtime. 😂
Worth every second. ✨🎶❤️⭕️

And then to celebrate the birth of one of my best friends of 30 years today…Andy Bernstein before we ring in one last Phish show on this beautiful run was one of the most fun, funny and wonderful lunches ever. Funny to the point that I was on the floor in stitches laughing, right, @aronmagner ?😂

Good morning and Happy Fathers Day! Yesterday Trey Anastasio stopped by Buffalo to play an acoustic set at Kleinhans Music Hall and I was asked to create the poster for it. I never lived in Allentown, but I did work in that neighborhood for a few years and had a lot of friends that lived down there (one was right in the apartment above the Bubble Man at the corner of Allen and Elmwood). I wanted to create the feeling of the apartments in that neighborhood and something that reflected the intimate vibe of these acoustic shows. If you’ve never been to that area, there are a lot of “painted ladies” in the neighborhood (or really brightly painted homes), so I decided to invert that and made the interior of the space the brightly colored “Oz” to the outside (real) worlds black and white palette. A haven for making art, listening to records, watching your favorite movies and lounging in a beat up chair that you’ve had forever. I was also inspired by the beginning of Where the Wild Things Are where the kids bedroom is slowly morphing into a forest as he leaves the real world. A true “living room.”

Since this show took place in my home town, I also included a ton of Easter eggs that referenced shows I’d watch as a kid, coffee shops I’d hang out at in the 90’s, local art, past Phish shows in Buffalo and a ton more.

Sharing my first Trey Anastasio poster from yesterday’s acoustic evening in Salt Lake City. Thank you again @f4dstudios and @climbeldo for the opportunity. 🙏
An initial concept I had was a design with Utah’s state bird which happens to be the California gull for an interesting reason. I wanted to include a bit of color and the challenge I faced was the lack of it on a common white and grey seagull. So sticking with the animal theme my research lead me to the official state animal, the Rocky Mountain Elk.🫎
