We headed back to Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar to check out their entry for CLT Burger Week. This was our second stop here on the hunt, and this visit was miles better than our first!

Hunt 22: Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar 🍔🌶️

Bad Daddy’s turned up the heat for CLT Burger Week, taking their game to a whole new level and nearly snatching the crown.

The Breakdown:

The Burger: The Jalapeño Popper Burger.

The Standouts: Absolute perfection! The jalapeño popper loaded on top was insanely cheesy, rich, and packed with flavor. It gave Nor’East’s version a serious run for its money.

The Redemption: Our second visit blew the first one out of the water. If you haven’t tried this specific creation yet, go get it before Burger Week ends!

👨‍👩‍👧 The Pack Score: 9.2/10 🥈

Coming in just behind Nor’East, this 9.2 score catapults Bad Daddy’s straight to the 2nd spot on our overall local leaderboard!

Another stop on the 2026 Charlotte Burger Week tour this past week is Mac’s Speed Shop and their Pitmaster Smash Burger. It was described as 1/4-pound Angus Burger Patty Smash-Style with
Cheddar Cheese, Sliced Brisket, Crispy Fried Onions, Fried Egg, and
Horseradish Cream Sauce on a Toasted Brioche Bun.

Mac’s always has good food, and this burger is no different. There’s nothing outlandish about it, but it’s just a really good burger done right. And anything there’s an egg on a burger, I’m a fan! Combined with their Mac n’ cheese and a cold Sam Adams American Light and I was happy.

I had more burgers this week but I need to go for the night so I’ll finish my travels later this week.

Another stop on the 2026 Charlotte Burger Week tour this past week is Southern Pecan Gulf Coast Kitchen and their Cornburger (Corn Dog Burger). This one was the most unique burger I tried this week, it’s described as Two Beef Patties Dipped in Corn Dog Batter
and Fried Golden, Stacked with Shredded Lettuce, Tomato, Dill Pickle
Relish, Ketchup and Mustard. They so no bun required, as the battered patties serve as the buns.

This was a very unique burger, and the idea is fantastic. The flavor was good, but wish the corn dog breading was a little thicker as it fell off on the first bite. It wasn’t until I was almost finished that I realized the menu said it came with ketchup and mustard, neither was on mine and would’ve liked to try it with those. I got a side of shoestring fries that were cooked nicely, and ordered a Sam Adams American Light that just wasn’t to be. I reminded our server about 15 minutes after ordering I still hadn’t seen it, then when I finished my burger I just cancelled it. I liked the vibe of the place, with the blues feel and artwork.

Still trying to catch up on my stops of 2026 Charlotte Burger Week, and yesterday it’s Nor’ East Treats and their Jalapeño Popper Burger. It’s a described as a sweet mild heat of a jalapeño popper on a brioche bun, with seasoned patties, topped with cream cheese/cheddar/jalapeño spread and house-made raspberry jam, one cheddar and one pepper jack cheese “frisco” chip, and thick cut hardwood smoked bacon. Sliced fresh jalapeños to top it off.

Tasty burger, so far my favorite of the week. Every burger I’ve had here over the past few years never fails to impress, and this one is no different. The 2 patties are seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the cream cheese spread and raspberry jam takes it over the top. Combine that with one of their amazing house made treats (I went with the chocolate cake) and ice cold sweet tea and you’ll be in heaven! I saw a sign by the register that this burger is now on their regular menu so make sure to swing by and try it

Today’s stop on the 2026 Charlotte Burger Week tour is Bradshaw Social House and their Whiteout Smash Burger. It’s described as a white cheddar and bacon smash burger with applewood bacon, sharp white cheddar, pickles, bacon marmalade and onion straws.

This burger was incredibly delicious, and all flavors came together perfectly. To be so cheesy and with the marmalade, it was surprisingly not very messy. The bun was super light and airy so it held it all together but didn’t cover any of the flavor. I combined with nicely crisped tater tots and an ice cold Sam Adams American Light beer. This was my first visit here, but after tasting this I’ll definitely be back!
