What happens next?

Join The Polis Project live as we unpack where India’s Gen-Z protests go from here with the journalists who reported from the ground.

Suchitra Vijayan (@suchitravijayan), Anahita Ahluwalia (@anahitaahluwalia), Aabha Muralidharan (@aabhamuralidharan) and Chaitali Mitra (@cmburman) will take you behind the scenes of reporting on the recent student protests in Delhi, discussing:

•Why these protests became about much more than the exams themselves
• What it was like to report from the ground as events unfolded
• How the media narrative has shifted since the 2019–20 protests
• The stories, decisions and reporting that don’t always make it into the final pieces

Have a question for the panel? Drop it in the comments below.

We will be live on Thursday, July 30 — 7pm Delhi | 2:30pm London | 9:30am New York

P.S. Head to our stories to set a reminder with the countdown sticker!

Some flowers don’t ask for attention.🧡

They simply exist, quietly changing the way a space feels.

A little softer.
A little calmer.
A little more alive.

We kept wondering…

What if that feeling could stay with you a little longer?

Not as a perfume.
Not as skincare.
But as a moment.

A moment where the freshness isn’t borrowed from a bottle, but remembered from nature itself.

Bird of Paradise Face Mist was created with that intention, to bottle just enough of what flowers have always offered us: colour without noise, aroma without excess, and freshness that asks nothing in return.

So every spritz feels a little like standing in the middle of a garden, eyes closed, breathing deeply.

A small ritual.
A quiet return.

*Long post alert*

There is family, there are friends, there is extended family, and then there are people with whom you are not related but their small gestures, kindness, and actions leave a lasting impact in your heart.

Malay Kaka is one such person. He just did not open his personal book collection to a gawky teenager in an era when there was no Internet, no google, just a hunger to read books, know more about different genres, and a dearth of opportunities; he taught the power of kindness, and empathy. He never checked how many books I was taking out from his bookshelf, how many I am returning, whether I have torn any pages or spoiled a book, he just asked what I am reading. And every time, he would say, " Por, por, khoob por." that roughly translates to keep reading.

To Malay Kaka, my deepest respect, gratitude, and lifetime of love. Hope I can also open my bookshelf to someone like that.

We are coming to Delhi and you know what, we aren't coming alone. We thought, if we are going to have a good time, why not take some people+brands along with us this time.

Our home grown ashtray boy @nihalraheja has put together 6 other local Himachal based brands apart from us, to bring to @thelilfleadelhi a first of its kind, Himachal Collective.

More information in the following posts.
For now, please consider this an invite to our collective, at National Stadium, Delhi - Nov 28th - 30th.

As a human on this planet, as in Indian in our home land, how do you feel when someone litters around you ?

Every year an estimated 10,000 CRORE cigarette butts are thrown to the ground, carelessly. It's a habit to just chuck it down.

Don't add to that number. Be responsible and QUIT THIS HABIT. Until then, the least you can do is be responsible about your litter.

As a non smoker, don't you think you should give your smoker friends a convenience that could help them not litter?
