Oh, it's coming back 🦍

Body weight staying down, bar weight going up. Slowly finding my way back to some decent weight. Ended the night with a quick single at 545lbs. Nothing heavy, but glad to be acclimating to bigger numbers again. Onto the next one.

Accountability ✅

Waking up at 0430 to train was never my intention. As I'm still learning to adapt, I'm finding comfort in the foundation again. Nothing heavy, just reps and sets and learning what my body can tolerate. I'm lighter, faster, with a whole new priority set however you can be tired and strong or tired and weak. I choose the former. Onto the next one 🦍

Nobody cares what you almost did 💯

Baseline reps getting the body acclimated to pressure. Low back wasn't having it so cut it early but happy to be benching with the OGs. 13 weeks to get this right. Onto the next one 🦍

Best to date 🦍

As prep for the Bugman Classic kicks off, I can't help but think of the last big bench in competition. To date, 749lbs is the best on record. So much life has happened between then and now. Chasing this feeling one more time. Back to the deep water.

Maidens of Iron 2026 🔥☠️

Had a GREAT day!

Went 9/9 and totaled 981 lbs
Squat: 380 lbs
Bench: 209 lbs
Deadlift: 391 lbs +17lb PR 🥳

It had been over a year since I competed in this silly sport that I love. The past 14 weeks of getting back into training have been so fun and rewarding. While these lifts may have looked easy, just know the training was much harder to make them look that good 😂

All of my third attempts were heavier than anything I touched during prep, so having them move that fast was incredibly rewarding. Apparently everyone at the meet knew I was sandbagging 😂 but we were taking big weight jumps, and somehow I kept making every attempt look like an opener.

Most importantly, all glory to God. He gave me so much peace today and carried me through this entire prep. Because of Him, I was able to return to training full time while finishing my engineering degree and keep going even when it was hard.

I’m forever grateful for my coach @coachcroqueta and Team Croqueta @thecroquetastrength for supporting me no matter what and believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. My coach made training fun again and genuinely cared about helping me reach my goals. He may say that I did all the work, but his support, encouragement, and belief in me meant more than he knows. I truly could not have had the day I did without everything he poured into me throughout this prep and on meet day.

I’m also so thankful for all of my family and friends who came to support me and cheer me on. Having so many people I love there made an already special day mean even more to me.

Thank you to the team at @barbell_barbell_ for putting on such a great, efficient, and fun meet! Thank you also to all of the spotters and loaders/volunteers who gave their time to make the day happen. Everyone was amazing!

I’m so grateful for a successful and fun competition day! 🥹🩷
