This morning reminded me that healing isn’t just about what I know.

It’s also about what I’m willing to receive.

The rain changed my plans, so instead of my usual walk, I ended up getting professionally stretched by my line sister. And somewhere between the laughter, the movement, and somebody else taking care of me for a change, I had one of those moments where life quietly reminded me of something I tell other people all the time.

A good support system isn’t just nice to have.

It’s part of the treatment plan.

As therapists, we spend so much time encouraging other people to lean on healthy relationships, ask for help, and build community.

Sometimes we need to remember to do the same.

Healing doesn’t always ask you to be stronger.

Sometimes it asks you to let yourself be supported.

10/10. Would recommend adding good people to your treatment plan. 🤎

We often think about healing as something that only happens in a therapy session.

But healing doesn’t stop when the session ends.

It continues in the choices you make afterward.

The people you spend time with.

The way you care for your body.

The movement that helps your nervous system regulate.

The relationships that remind you you’re safe enough to receive care instead of always providing it.

Therapy can help you understand your patterns.

Movement can help your body release the tension it’s been carrying.

Community can remind your nervous system that support is something you get to experience—not just something you give.

Healing is rarely one thing.

It’s usually a collection of small, intentional choices that work together over time.

And sometimes…

one of the healthiest choices you can make is surrounding yourself with people who genuinely want to see you well.

10/10. Would recommend adding good people to your treatment plan. 🤎
