Fifty new portraits. Two hundred people over four years.
Each one said yes to being seen.

As we wrap this chapter with @_ms.kia_ and @coach.celichowski, I can’t help but pause and feel the weight of what we’ve built together. This project has never been about perfection — it’s about presence, truth, and the quiet courage of showing up as you are.

Thank you for being part of this journey. For saying yes. For seeing and being seen. For following along and rooting me on!

✨ SEEN Vol. 4 is now available for pre-order — $40 gets you a signed copy waiting at Voss Gallery on May 30th. Come celebrate with us. 💛

USAW MEET ✅
Well, my first weightlifting meet is officially in the books, folks & the results are in!!
SNATCH
50 ⚪️⚪️⚪️
52 ⚪️🔴⚪️
55 🔴🔴🔴

Clean & Jerk
64 🔴⚪️⚪️
66 ⚪️⚪️⚪️
68 🔴🔴🔴

I went 4/6 making both of my first & second attempts for both the snatch & clean and jerk!

I’m posting all of my lifts for your viewing pleasure and also so that I can look back and remember these lifts & this part of my fitness journey.

I debated editing these video- ESPECIALLY the clean & jerks because OMG HOW LONG DOES A GIRL NEED TO REST BETWEEN HER CLEAN AND JERK?!?! Apparently just shy on an eternity for me!!! 😂⏰

But- this is where I’m at right now!!! The jerk I failed at the meet is still over 25 # less than the heaviest jerk I have ever done- BUT: when I completed that lift I wasn’t: a firefighter, a wife or a mom & I would much rather be all of the things that I am today and not as strong of a lifter, than be able to lift more than I used to but not be all that I am today.

Am I embarrassed? A little. Am I disappointed? Kinda. But do you know what else I am? Proud. Proud that I finally competed- even though I knew I wasn’t going to hit the numbers I wanted to. Proud that I am leading by example- hopefully inspiring someone else to do the damn thing. You don’t have to wait until you’re in a certain weight class, have a certain total, or “fix” your technique.

Weightlifting is a magical sport. The community at this meet was incredible. I felt so supported by both my friends and family and a large group of people I had never met before.

I am so thankful for the sacrifices my husband makes to support my dreams. For my friends/sister for cheering me on. & to my coach for his expertise, encouragement & support.

I am hungry for more. Let’s go! #usaw #weightlifting #justgettingstarted #oly #firstmeet #sofun #love #strongmom #momfit #family #support #grateful #gratitude #itaintweakfarm #strengthfarmpdx #strength #training

Partner pistol squat challenge, but make it festive 🎄

I love what I do because of the amazing people that I get to work with and have fun with on a daily basis.

When @alishastone11 says “we should do try this!”, you bet your ass I’m IN to give it a go. And I’d say we nailed it.. one of the trainers even clapped for us haha

Grab a friend who could do this with you and give it a try 🎅🏼 tag us and show us how you do.
