WORLD.3641097301 [Solace]

This world is inspired by the deep caves hidden within the Earth. A woman finds herself in these caves and befriends a giant being that
shares stories of his tribes and of Old Earth contained within a large glowing orange crystal
embedded in the caves.

This is inspired by my belief in learning from the stories of your elders and the ones who walked before us.

Book available for preorder.

Blessed to have family, friends and colleagues share such a special occasion with me as I was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame over the weekend. I received recognition with a Lifetime of Service to Wrestling Award and inclusion to the Downstate NY Chapter of the NWHoF! Congratulations to my fellow inductees in the Class of 2026!

Thank you to everyone who shared in the journey and helped make this possible. I am eternally grateful to all of you! ❤️

NCAA Champion and Fresno City College wrestling coach Paul Keyshaw joins Full Circle Wrestling for a wide-ranging conversation about the future of wrestling in California, the importance of junior college wrestling, and the explosive growth of women’s wrestling.

We also dive into the incredible growth of girls and women’s wrestling. With more high school girls competing, additional college programs being created, and new opportunities emerging across the country, women’s wrestling is changing the landscape of the sport.

But growth also brings challenges.

Paul shares his thoughts on what wrestling needs to do better to continue growing—from developing athletes and supporting coaches to creating more opportunities and making the sport accessible to the next generation.

🎙️ In This Episode:

Paul Keyshaw’s journey from wrestler to NCAA Champion and college coach
Coaching wrestling at Fresno City College
Why junior college wrestling matters in California
The benefits of California Community College wrestling
Using junior college as a pathway to four-year college wrestling
Opportunities for wrestlers who may not be ready for an NCAA program
The rapid growth of girls and women’s wrestling
Creating more opportunities for female wrestlers
What wrestling is doing well—and where the sport needs to improve
Growing participation and keeping athletes involved
Building a stronger future for California wrestling
Whether you're a high school wrestler considering college, wrestling parent, coach, junior college athlete, or fan of California wrestling, this conversation provides an important look at opportunities that many families may not realize exist.

Great practice at @compoundmmaoceanside tonight had a big group and it was a little warm tonight. Mat talk: fight for one more day.

There’s a lot of people and athletes dealing with challenges, some a little more daunting than others. Be the one to give someone a text or a call and check in on your friends and family.

Tell them you love them. And if they are struggling, tell them to pause, slow your breathing down and just fight for another day.

That’s what wrestling is about. Learning to endure, pick yourself up, step back in the circle and fight.

I haven’t been posting recently but this summer I spent time at 2 wrestling camps.

I was at the 5 day Ken Chertow Girls Olympic Super Gold Camp at Spooky Nook in July and absolutely loved it. We spent time working on Freestyle, a little folk style and great conditioning. I got so much better as a wrestler especially in freestyle. I would love to do another Ken Chertow Camp next summer.

I also learned a lot from the women’s Mercyhurst head coach, Alexia Wagner. It was so cool to learn freestyle from her and learn more about the D1 wrestling program.

My buddy Zion hit a blast double on me, leg laced me, hit a celly, and he beat me in Mat Clash. Not the best start to a Monday 🤣

Check out the card game. Fast paced. And fun for all ages. Plus I create new characters all the time so you never know what new card may be released to add to your collection.
