POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What a day with Coach Dan John. 👏

A room filled with great coaches and great people who are always willing to learn, question, share and improve their craft.

We covered so much from developing youth athletes, to simplifying training, keeping the basics the basics, and understanding what it really means to be a coach.

One of the biggest takeaways?

Great coaching isn’t about making things more complicated. It’s about doing the simple things exceptionally well, over and over again.

Bring good people into a room.
Learn from people who have walked the path.
Share ideas.
Ask better questions.
And leave a better coach than when you walked in.

Huge thank you to Dan for sharing decades of knowledge and experience with us, and to every coach who showed up ready to learn.

Keep learning. Keep coaching. Keep raising the standard.

Be the coach they remember. 💚

Huge thanks to Jay for everything over the last 10 weeks. The progress we’ve made has been unreal — stronger & better than ever 💪🏼

The environment at Elite Gym is special.
I completed my coaching course here last December and haven’t looked back since — one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Grateful to be part of it 🙌🏼

Physical training for performance is not simply a method for increasing capacities of the body.

It is a mechanism for revealing consciousness, character, identity and truth.

The body is a gateway.

Not because suffering is inherently noble.
Not because exhaustion is mystical.
Because physical stress strips away illusion faster than almost else in life.

How we respond to that physical stress shapes the spirit.

99% never find out.

Not because they can’t. Because they never put themselves in an experience that pushes them to the edge.

260km of Sahara. 6 days. Everything you need on your back.

No shortcuts. No comfort. No way out except through.

That’s where you meet the version of yourself you’ve been avoiding - the one the office, the gym, the comfortable life will never introduce you to.

MDS 2027 isn’t a race you sign up for in January and wing it.
It’s 8 months of preparation, led by me, using the exact systems that got a total of 23 athletes across the finish line to date.

Training starts August. Places are limited. The team is being built now.

If something in you just said “that’s me” — don’t scroll past it.

Comment SAND and we’ll send you the waitlist link.

Strength, courage and integrity,

Damian

Taking on the Marathon des Sables is a peak life experience and I feel this documentary episode, directed by the talented Deividas Morkanus, does that experience justice - expect some tears. And sandstorms. And infections. And emotional tributes.

To our 2025 team members @martinshaw880 @coach_jaykane and @crua_conditioning thank you for sharing your journeys with Ironmind so openly and honestly, you made it what it was.

MDS 2025 The Final Episode premiers this Sunday (15th) @7pm on YouTube (link in bio)

Pain, doubt & fear VS strength, resilience & tenacity - This is what The Marathon des Sables is really about.

Last year I led Team @ironmindinstitute (15 wholehearted individuals) to take on the legendary Marathon des Sables - 250km across the Sahara Desert over six brutal, self-supported days.

In the final episode of the documentary, the team and I face the last 175km, including the infamous double marathon of Stage 4 (84.4 kms) where the race stops being about running and becomes a test of character.

Strength Workshop — Squat, Bench & Deadlift

SUNDAY, February 8th | Elite Gym 10AM-11AM

Most people think lifting heavier is about looking good.
It’s actually about staying capable as you age.

In this workshop, we’ll teach you how to perform and improve the squat, bench press, and deadlift — the three lifts that most closely reflect real-life strength: standing up, lifting, carrying, and protecting your body under load.

You’ll learn:
• How to lift safely and efficiently
• How to build strength without wrecking your joints
• How to train for progress, not punishment

Why this matters for real life:

✔ Stronger bones
Heavy, well-controlled lifting is one of the strongest signals your body gets to maintain bone density.
✔ Preserve muscle as you age
Muscle loss accelerates after 40. Strength training is the most effective way to slow or reverse it.
✔ Fall prevention & injury resilience
Strong legs, hips, and trunk = better balance, faster reactions, and more protection when things go wrong.
✔ Daily life is easier
Getting up off the floor, lifting shopping bags, carrying kids, climbing stairs — all depend on strength.
This workshop isn’t about becoming a powerlifter.
It’s about building the kind of strength that keeps you independent, capable, and confident for decades.

📍 Elite Gym
📅 Sunday, Feb 8th - 10am - 12pm
🎯 Open to all members — all experience levels
If you train here, this matters.

Human potential must be forged through fire.

Fire burns. That’s its reality.

There’s an industry that surrounds human potential, that will never tell you this. Pain, discomfort, failure, stress, doubt, pressure - they don’t sell. But like it or not they are inseparable from the journey of real self-realisation.

This is what we are interested in. Coaching individuals to navigate the effects of these challenging mental and emotional states, so they can unlock their extraordinary human potential and flourish in being, and in life.

That is our mission and the Ironmind Triumvirate is a revolutionary pathway designed to serve it.

Three progressive journeys where you learn to go deeper into yourself and uncover the gold hidden inside you:

SISU (15 weeks training - culminating with a 12 hour Crucible challenge)
MISOGI (28 weeks training - culminating with a 24 hour Crucible challenge)
EUDAIMONIA (52 weeks training - culminating with a 48 hour Crucible)

Each level deepens exposure to reality.
Each level strengthens you to survive in the fire.
Each level opens your eyes to your extraordinary potential.

SISU is the only open journey. Join the waitlist now for the next SISU program or discover your SISU readiness score. Link in bio to do so.
