It was the night of 4th of July 2019, fireworks were going off outside our hotel as I laid my head to sleep with a heart full knowing that I gave everything I had for not just 6 months of prep, but 6yrs, to qualify for national stage & compete for my pro card.

Everything I did, day in and day out over those 6yrs was strategic, planned, and focused—in season, off season, all for this one moment.

And this prep? was different. I felt it in my core… I went into check-ins with this deep KNOWING I was going pro.

I believe that was because before the title, before the label, I already was.

I was the living embodiment of dedication, I lived the lifestyle, I showed up no matter what & PUT IN THE WORK. I gave my all this season of life for this goal.

Whenever it got hard, I would tell myself “do it for the pro card.” & I would push through.

I had a deep connection to my WHY, I placed myself in environments that helped me grow, & invested in a coach that I was SO incredibly blessed to work with who ALWAYS put my health first no matter what.

And that day, I not only went pro in figure placing 1st in my class, but this show, I crossed over to women’s physique and placed 2nd taking home two pro card placings🤯

It’s been 7yrs since I stepped on stage to compete, it feels like a lifetime ago and yet, just yesterday.

I’ll never forget this prep, the duality of life and all the hardships I endured outside of it while staying dedicated to see this dream through. And as these memories pop up on my time hop every yr, they are beautiful reminders that no matter the goal, there will be mountains & valleys to climb.

No matter if you are competing, building a business, or pivoting and going after something new… you must live & breath it, be SO connected to your BIGGER VISION that there are NO other options, put yourself in the rooms and environments that will help get you there, honor the duality of life as you take actions towards your dreams, and above all, be grateful for the No’s that lead you to that 1 YES that changes everything.

“God is good….and….”

Today I had to think about what that phrase really means and it’s simple but so exciting; in all things God is good.

My excitement comes from God’s intentionality and consistency.

In heartbreak, joy, fullness, emptiness, in the waiting and in motion God is good. And because this goodness is ALL THE TIME it lasts forever! That’s what makes it good!

God is good like a forehead kiss before bed or the sun shining on summer day.

Like the beauty of autumn leaves or the first December snow and it is in the hope of this goodness and comfort that we keep going, keep pushing, keep growing.

We train hard and consistently because we know it’s for our good; God is even better, he works not only consistently but intentionally for our good!

God’s Track record: 💯.

Favorite glue iso this block has been moving my B-Stance RDLs to this here landmine.

1. The elevated foot gives you more range of motion.
2. Load max increases.
3. Glute max squeeze is high and a bit of the medius.
4. Greater hinge stability.
5. Flow state on 10,000!

Side note: Manifestation happens not only in the mind but through the action steps that follow.

I wasn’t going to post these (hence why it’s taken me so long) but having a conversation with one of my clients, I realized I needed to be real with me.

In order to reach any goal we’ve set for ourselves, you have to vulnerable with you! Go deeper with you, get uncomfortable with you!

Are you going to be courageous enough to tell yourself the truth? When the work you’ve done requires more work will you be humble enough to do it?

Red suit was comp 1 last season, June 2025. I came in short. I needed a more balanced look. @coach_nataliek and I went to wooorrkkkkk.

Orange suit was comp 2, September 2025, pre tan check in: We came in more balanced and really proud of the changes we were able to make in 8 weeks AND need more upper growth.

This sport continues to show me who I am, who I can be and how to become her.

Be gracious, be honest, be humble. Do the work.

This is how most days start in Troncones. Early surf, head back to the house, crush food, and everyone simply moves a little slower the rest of the day. No rush. No schedule. Just enjoy the peace and quiet with the group and repeat tomorrow.

A YEAR OF CHANGE

There are some client–coach relationships that evolve beyond macros and check-ins… and @kagenou_90 is one of them.
When we started working together in 2020 he stepped on stage for the first time in 2021, needing to make significant improvements to his physique. He has always said he wanted to get back on stage, get better, and take bodybuilding seriously. But the truth? He wasn’t mentally there yet.

After his first season in 2020, a post-show vacation turned into +25 lbs almost instantly… and the weight kept creeping up from there. Each year after, the conversation about “doing a show” came up - but the habits weren’t matching the goals.

I told him that, directly.
Not because I wanted to hold him back, but because I refuse to put someone through a prep they’re not mentally prepared to succeed in.
Free meals when he was told not to, loose tracking, checking boxes in the gym instead of TRAINING - Ed wasn’t acting like the athlete he wanted to be.
But this year… everything changed.

At the end of 2024, we had an honest conversation about what it would actually take - not just to get on stage, but to stay there and build a real improvement season afterward. And I have to give Ed major credit: he stepped up to the level he always said he wanted to reach.
• 56+ lbs pulled off before stepping on stage
• Consistency and communication at an entirely new level
• No more bargaining, negotiating, or half-tracking
• Pivoting, responding, and executing even when feedback wasn’t what he wanted to hear
• And most importantly - handling his post-show vacation AND his reverse phase like an actual athlete
The difference this year wasn’t the plan.
It was the commitment behind it.

I’m proud of the work, the growth, and the maturity he’s shown across every phase of this process. The trust goes both ways - he knows I’ll give him the honest truth every time, and he also knows it’s coming from wanting him to be a better athlete, a better competitor, and a better version of himself.
