I placed a bet on myself

The last few months have been some of the hardest of my life. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. There were days I sat in my room dealing with the uncertainty, fighting my own thoughts, and surrounded by doubt… from others and sometimes even within myself.

2 surgeries for the same injury in 5 years.
Something I’ve worked so hard for, something I’ve sacrificed and invested so much for was put on pause once AGAIN. Watching from the sidelines, having to slow down when all I wanted to do was keep going, and wondering why I had to go through this all over again tested me in ways I can’t fully explain.

I prayed for strength when I felt weak.
I prayed for guidance when I wanted answers.
I prayed for clarity when I couldn’t see the bigger picture.
I prayed for faith to trust God’s plan, even when it didn’t look anything like mine.

Recovery has taught me that not every season is meant to be rushed. Sometimes God has to sit you down, strip away the distractions, and remind you who you are when the game, the competition, and everything you’ve worked for are taken away.

I’m learning to appreciate the process, trust the timing, and become stronger in ways that go beyond the field.

To everyone who checked on me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and stood by me when things weren’t looking good, THANK YOU. You know who you are, and I’ll never take that love for granted.

I know who I am.
I know what I’ve put into this game.
I know the God I serve.

This isn’t the end of my story. It’s another chapter.

I’m coming back with a different perspective, a stronger mind, and a deeper appreciation for the opportunity to do what I love. I don’t know exactly what the road ahead looks like, but I know I’m not walking it alone.

It's about being part of something greater than yourself…

Over the last few years, I've been lucky enough to be in some incredible rooms with some of the BEST coaches, PTs, doctors, performance coaches, speed coaches, and athletic trainers out there.

There's something special about being surrounded by brilliant minds. It sparks conversation, new ideas, and different approaches you'd never come up with on your own.

Some days I feel like the dumbest person in the room, and honestly? That's the best place to be. It's humbling, but it's also incredibly motivating. To have people take the time to teach you, explain why they do what they do, and show you how they see movement in different ways and contexts… that's a gift.

Learn. Question. Apply. Improve. Repeat.

I'm genuinely grateful to share rooms with people who don't just talk, but build each other up. People who care about making athletes and teams better, and who understand there's room for EVERYONE to win.

Collaboration happens at the 🔝

To everyone who has ever taught me a thing or two, whether it was years ago or just this week: thank you. You've shaped how I coach, how I think, and who I am.

Update:

Stepped out of the team setting and officially headed into corporate wellness.

This is one of those cases when preparedness meets opportunity you have to take the risk. Thank you to all my mentors and all those I’ve worked under/with who have given me that preparedness.
