Recently with Good Life Gymnastics🧡🖤

Amy and I have started working with the Good Life team on their recreational programming and coach development

This week I was with head coach Owen, filming videos to go alongside the new lesson plans they’re trialling at one of their locations

We’ve also put together a new huddle board, and it was brilliant to see Coach Christina taking all of the team through it before classes yesterday!

Pre-class huddles set the tone for every session and makes sure everyone knows exactly what they’re doing and why

Recreational gymnastics thrives off planning, resources and implementation💪

Something exciting is in the works! 🚀

Brent, Coach Amy, and Coach Lucy have been hard at work creating practical new education for you and your staff.

🥳 Coming next week: Your Body Language Speaks Before You Do | Posture - a course designed to help coaches understand the message they’re sending before they ever say a word.

Get ready, FlipBiz gyms. This is just the beginning! 👏

@coachamycontent worked in gymnastics from 13 to 27. What kept her in the sport? Her club noticed she loved making social media videos and handed her the club's socials. That turned into a marketing manager role, a job that barely existed 10 years ago. Who on your team has a hidden skill? Tag a coach who'd love this.

Before you hire anyone, write down what you do every hour of the week, for two weeks. Then pick one or two jobs to hand over first: parent emails, cleaning the gym. Those are the lowest-cost changes you can make. Hiring the best coach in the country can wait. Save this and start your audit on Monday.

The final week in the UK for me for a little while jam-packed with coach education workshops, workouts and reel filming

Some huge milestones to remember

First ever triple workshop weekend, would not have been possible without @jacktillett driving me and the team 🫶🏼

First ever bespoke cheerleading tumbling workshop delivered as a trio

@coachlucycontent’s first ever solo workshop (she was incredible!!) supported by one of our oldest friends @7ash.leigh

First round of content filmed for an online education platform… coming soon 👀🇺🇸

Second round of @tumbltrak content filmed 🤸🏻‍♀️

Filming with @shuffleupgames who have released two new products, congratulations Gemma 🥳

Plenty of content captured at @gymstarsgymnasticsacademy 🩷

Who new coaching children cartwheels could turn into something so special

Now in Barcelona for a bit of a rest from a summer of workshops, time to edit hundreds of videos

Let’s GO

Grateful every day

Looking for something a little different to add to your recreational classes?

These partner acro activities are a great way to build balance, body awareness, teamwork and trust, all while giving gymnasts a fun new challenge to work on together🤸

Activities like this are perfect within recreational classes as partner challenges, warm-up activities or end-of-class fun

They don’t have to stay in the gym either, they’re great for siblings and friends to try together at home too!

This is just ONE page from the Pair & Trio Balances book by Head Over Heels About Gymnastics📚

Head to the link in @shuffleupgames bio to purchase your copy through Amazon 🛒✨

You own a gymnastics club… but have you actually built a business? 👀

This was something I was chatting about with @coachamycontent

Because there’s a big difference between:

👉 Owning a gym that needs you
and
👉 Building a business that can operate without you

And I don’t think the answer is that every gym owner should stop coaching.

If you love coaching, brilliant. Keep coaching.

The question is whether you’re coaching because you want to… or because your business can’t function without you.

I think the ultimate goal is to build a gym where coaching becomes a choice rather than a necessity.

A business that can keep running, growing and serving your members even when you’re not physically there.

Because otherwise… have you really built a business?

Or have you just created yourself a job?

💭 Which one are you building?

Since moving back from Australia just over a month ago, life has been very busy and pretty special

I love getting to meet so many passionate coaches who genuinely care about making a difference for their gymnasts

All the conversations, ideas, and connections have been some of the best parts of this journey so far

I’m forever grateful that I get to work alongside my incredible sister every single day, within the sport we love most

Little Amy and Lucy were always making gymnastics videos, and somehow years later we’re still doing exactly that (just on a much bigger scale)

Feeling grateful and excited for life
