FINALLY BACK! Two weeks ago yesterday I slipped multiple disks in my back. For those that know me, this happens about once every year or two (and has been since my 20’s).

If you’ve ever herniated disks before, you know how painful and debilitating this is!! So how many of you were ready to go for a run or lift weights again after 2 weeks?

If you’ve ever wondered about the abilities of @coachjohnelp and what he can do with his knowledge and with the Neubie, I am walking proof (or running?? 😆)

Today I started with the Norwegian 4x4 to test out both my cardio ability and my body… it’s a great methodic for beginners as well. I’ve posted it before but if you’re interested in it, message me.

Glory to God and the body He blessed me with, the power of healing through prayer and the people He places in my life. Thank you to my amazing husband and to my daughter @maryn.macri who came over and binge-watched Supernatural with me to help me out when I couldn’t move. Momma’s gonna miss you when you’re back at school ❤️

Continuing to educate yourself as a coach — or in any field — is a must. That doesn’t stop just because you’re the one holding the mic now.

“The strength and conditioning field has almost become like philosophy to a degree” — John Nelson

Great conversation with John Nelson dropping this Sunday. 🎙️ Episode 2, Pain to Power Podcast.

New episode of the Pain to Power Podcast dropping this week. This one’s with John Nelson — owner of ELP Performance and co-host of the Starting Block Podcast.

We get into a lot of great topics on how to coach modern athletes — advanced tools and techniques, John’s background in neurology and neuromuscular modalities like the NeuFit are game changers.

John’s got a great coaches eye. A very forward thinking coach. John’s very holistic in his approach,. something that’s needed now more than ever in today’s modern society.

This was a great one. Podcast dropping this week.

There are levels to understanding the impact of having a very low body fat percentage, it’s only for show. As a performance athlete, how you look is the byproduct of proper training and development. The lower the body fat % the more susceptible you are to an unwarranted injury….. “is the show gonna help you go?” -Coach (meaning get out the mirror). #elliottyoungfitness #fitnesstrainer #arpwave #bodyfat #injuryprevention
