To every college coach who has poured into the Annual Myles McGowan Coaches Classic over the years… THANK YOU. ❤️🏀

Whether you coached, played, mentored, evaluated, spoke to our athletes, recruited, or simply showed up in support, you have helped make this event one of the most meaningful weekends in girls’ basketball.

Your presence has done far more than identify talent. You have inspired dreams, educated families, empowered young women, and reminded every player that hard work, character, and perseverance still matter.

For nearly two decades, The Classic has been about so much more than basketball. It is about LOVE. UNITY. COMPETITION. COMMUNITY. CANCER AWARENESS. EXPOSURE. COLLEGE READINESS. It is a place where relationships are built, opportunities are created, and the legacy of Myles McGowan continues to impact lives.

Together, we’ve celebrated victories, honored courage, raised cancer awareness, served our community, and helped countless student-athletes move one step closer to achieving their dreams.

To each of these incredible coaches—and to every coach who has been part of this journey—we are forever grateful. Thank you for believing in our mission and investing your time, wisdom, and heart into the next generation.

As we get ready to celebrate the upcoming 20th Annual Myles McGowan Coaches Classic, we look forward to continuing this journey together.

On the hunt for our future Wolves 🐺💙!

#BuiltForMore Two women’s basketball coaches stand in front of a large blue silhouette of Georgia. White dashed lines connect two red stars representing travel stops across the state. The coach in the foreground holds a Wilson NCAA basketball while wearing a blue UWG quarter-zip, and another coach stands behind holding a basketball. The graphic features UWG and United Athletic Conference logos, with large silver text reading “ON THE ROAD.” Additional text reads “Coach Jo & Coach K,” “June 18–20,” and “Statewide Trip.”

Another great day in the Coliseum. 🏀

Thank you to all the teams, coaches, and campers who spent the day getting better with us. The future of the game is bright.

#BuiltForMore Four young basketball campers wearing red camp shirts pose together on the court inside the Coliseum at the University of West Georgia. Three athletes sit in folding chairs while one stands behind them, all smiling and making hand gestures. Blue seating and arena railings are visible in the background.

#06AlumniSpotlight goes to @coachk_dst. Krystle Evans is an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the University of West Georgia Women’s Basketball program. A UCLA graduate with deep California basketball roots, Evans began her coaching journey through high school basketball (View Park Prep, and Animo South LA where she was named CIF Coach of the Year) and with the nationally respected Cal Sparks EYBL program, helping mentor and develop elite talent while building lasting relationships in the game.

Her coaching path has included collegiate stops across the country (LA Southwest College, UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, CSU Dominguez Hills, Academy of Art University, Indiana State and West Georgia), championship experiences, and opportunities to impact student-athletes both on and off the court.

Known for her energy, authenticity, and ability to connect with players, Evans is passionate about helping young women grow in confidence, leadership, and belief in themselves.

For Evans, coaching is bigger than basketball; it’s about creating meaningful relationships, empowering others, and leaving every player and program better than she found it. 💙💛
