Tech, Move, Play with Nikki Watson from @codadanceco We have the absolute pleasure of spending the afternoon with Nikki Watson during The Creatives Playground event this Friday. A playful, hands-on session using movement and creative tech to connect, experiment and try something new together. It’s going to be such a fun and creative afternoon. Come and join us! Our next Development Fund Spotlight highlights projects that are helping to strengthen cultural growth and community development across Essex. With the support of the Creative Industries Development Project Fund, @roots2successcic will deliver ‘Strong Roots’ - a programme that explores hairdressing as a creative art form to engage young people who feel disconnected from traditional education, combining practical skills with self-expression and confidence building. Through a structured 6-week programme, participants will develop their creativity, communication, and sense of identity within a supportive environment. Supported by the Cultural Development Fund, disability-led dance company @codadanceco will develop ‘Our Worlds Collide’ - a bold, inclusive dance production about family dynamics and the complexity of communication. CoDa Dance Company’s most ambitious project to date, the work is borne of choreographer and Artistic Director Nikki Watson’s personal experience of caring for a parent with a degenerative illness. 'Our Worlds Collide' hopes to give audiences the courage to start difficult conversations. Click the link in our bio to learn more about the projects we’re supporting.
