I’m now officially part of the @tacticalhyve crew! Passed their Cheat Codes of Shooting Lvl1 instructor exam, which was FAR from easy.

I want to thank all the instructors that day, @brobrownie @valortec @code7tac , you guys were awesome! Gave amazing feedback and I can’t wait to start working together. I want to thank my brother @louis_burdo for being my practice dummy for teaching the course as well as helping me train for the marksmanship exam. I also want to thank @kcarmament for getting me to the level I’m currently at in my pistol proficiency. Of course I want to thank my wife @michelle_burdo for being supportive throughout the entire process - taking on all the daily responsibilities these past couple of months to give me the time I needed to study/prep. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be where I am now and it was all possible because of you. Lastly and most importantly I want to thank God. There were so many pieces that fell perfectly into place to make this happen that I knew walking into that exam on day one this was meant to be.

I’m beyond excited to get started and will be hosting classes soon in New Jersey. So stay tuned.

Can you see the difference between shots 1-5 and shots 6-10?

I felt it and was conscious in the moment of my competence and my incompetence, respectively, but still need more practice to be able to do it right, consistently.

That’s the high level awareness and skill required to pass @tacticalhyve shooting instructor evals. The teaching part I’m confident in, as I’ve been teaching to high standards with various methodologies for over a decade, it’s the skillful precision and accuracy standards that aren’t there for me yet.

Humbled to say the least. Had my instructor candidate evals with @tacticalhyve today. Awesome , awesome freakin cadre team! Instructors beware this isn’t your regular everyday non sense eval. Prep and prep some more.
Accountability check: I didn't make it this time. Reeval in a few months. Yall haven't seen the last of me lol!
