Today marks our 1 year anniversary of bumps and babies meet ups with @brighterbirthing_hypnobirthing!
What a pleasure it’s been to watch so many mums and babies grow over the last year.
A huge thanks to @coffeeat108 for allowing us to use the coffee shop as our venue. We are so lucky to have such a supportive community and the best coffee around to enjoy it with!

It’s National Cinnamon Bun Day, so obviously
we had to show off ours🤎

Soft, fluffy, generously swirled with cinnamon and baked to absolute perfection. Espiecally when paired with our cream cheese icing.

We’ll say it… our cinnamon buns are the best in the business.

And if you’ve tasted one, you already know👀

Available for wholesale, because your counter deserves a seriously good cinnamon bun.

Wondering where you can find one of our irresistible buns? You can visit one of the following to try one!

Jo & I weren’t sure whether to take this next step, our Bumps & Babies Meet Up’s were and are about building a community.
.
A safe space to ask questions of us and other mums and mums-to-be. To learn about pregnancy, birth, the transition in your family and infant feeding and get support in a safe space.
.
@coffeeat108 cafe is closed to the public on Mondays so that first public feed feels less intimidating for our new mums.
.
We have been approached by lots of people asking if they could come along and speak to the mums at our meet ups. To date we have said no, we wanted to protect that space.
.
Then we wondered, maybe we could do both. So we asked our community if they would be happy for a specialist to come in and chat to them briefly, so they have more knowledge of the amazing perinatal support we have locally.
.
The answer was a resounding ‘yes please’.
.
So, with delight we invited Becky Aston Physio to join us for October’s bump & baby meet up.
.
Becky is a Women’s Health Physio, she can talk about PGP, recovery after caesarean birth and return to exercise as well as those all important and always asked pelvic floor questions.

Coffee at 108 Hero Video

Here’s a snippet from a 4 minute video I produced for @coffeeat108 ☕️

It’s what we call a hero video - a bit like a trailer for your business to show everyone how awesome you are, and something you can be proud to share.

Liz who owns and runs Coffee at 108 came to me wanting to up her game - improve her Instagram feed to look more professional and show that her business is more than ‘just a little coffee shop’.

This is my local coffee shop and my absolute favourite so I was obviously thrilled to work on this with her and bring her vision to life, because what Liz has created in our village is absolute magic!

More than ‘just a coffee shop’, it’s the heart of the community ❤️

To watch the full video head over to @coffeeat108 Instagram page! And if you think your business could do with a similar video, I’d love to talk 🎥

This week I was supposed to go to a big local event (IYKYK) but something had been feeling off about it.

I had total overwhelm about what I was going to do and see there - having too much choice for me is often not good. Plus there were concerns over parking and general logistics.
Add into the mix that I’m still struggling a bit with returning after summer, feeling a little bleurgh about a few things and not really feeling like making small talk about how “wonderful” my business is.

All in all the thought of it was fuelling my anxiety and I had a strong feeling of “I don’t want to go”.

So I messaged Sam who I was due to go with to tell her I wasn’t sure about going and guess what neither was she!

And we didn’t go.

Instead we went for a walk, caught up & chatted - joined by Tanya too - and also did some work.
Thanks to @grovescreativeuk and @aldcroft_photography after a few hours I came away feeling motivated, inspired and (slightly ironically) full of ideas 😉
And of course thanks to @coffeest108 for the coffee, breakfast & cake - always the best.

So you could say I said “no” to the event.

But actually I said “yes” to myself and what I needed. ❤️

Quaint coffee shops are my favourite. The vibes you find there are relaxing, warming and most of all, welcoming. @coffeeat108 is no exception 🥰
