Spend a day on Hayman Island in the Whitsundays with us as a family with 3 children aged 5, 3 and 11 months old.

Looking back on this and working out the time stamps really made me realize how time doesn’t really exist when you’re on holidays, which is a nice break when you have young kids and are always watching the clock.

And if you’re ever visiting the Whitsundays, keep your doors closed!! 🦜🍪 IYKYK

Camping in the keys in Retro Mermaid!! 🌺🌴 packed up our camper and headed to key largo which isn’t too far from home. Always love the keys!! Clothes made with vintage towels to chase adventures in 🌺🌞🧜‍♀️ next drop may 7th!! 💃💃

I’ve already been called an addict for the vintage Seven Seas vintage towel pattern - but just LOOK at my new Bucky Hat with my shirt! How could I not be addicted?

Did I just arrive in the shop for the day? Yes.. am I having a @colcol.nz hat try on first thing? Absolutely yes. Am I also torn if I want these to sell? Dyeing can be nerve wracking 😬 Here’s @colcol.nz reminding us that the final color is not revealed until after the dyed item has been rinsed and dried 😎

“The most ‘trust the process’ hat I’ve ever made.

When the gorgeous @retromermaidshop asked for a golden yellow bucky made from a white vintage towel, I thought it would be relatively straightforward. Dye the towel, make the hat.

Then I saw the bright orange in the dye pot and started panicking 😳

Bright orange ≠ golden yellow.

But I should have known to trust the process because @jacquardproducts dyes always come through. With a bit of rinsing and drying, she came out the most sun-kissed, warm, saffron-y yellow, perfect for crowning an enchanting mermaid.”

Sometimes it’s fun to try something new 💃 made my first pair of towel pants. I won’t be doing a lot of pants bc they take a lot of towel (two) but I will have a fun groovy pair in the next drop on May 7th! 🌞🌼🌺

Dr. Seuss wrote some absolute bangers, The Lorax being one of them, and having @colcol.nz hats on the painted pink vintage coat rack I found a couple weeks ago ready for this exact moment is like having our very own Truffula Tree. The soft fluffy top with a long slim trunk. A symbol for what is dear to our hearts, and actually how @colcol.nz and I met in passing. We care for our beautiful planet and all the good in it. Now many moons on one pal is making gorgeous upcycled hats and one is sitting in her vintage shop typing this caption 💕
