Finally finished one of my longtime projects: a replica of Maverick’s Jacket from Top Gun, made with original vintage patches on an antique G1 aviator’s jacket.

One of the screen-worn varsity jackets from @thecwriverdale. These letterman jackets are probably the most iconic symbol of the show, and were used throughout all 7 seasons. I had to do some restoration work on this particular jacket when I got ahold of it a few months ago, and now that it’s finished I’m very glad to have this keepsake from the production of one of the most insane television shows ever aired.

As the colder weather draws in, layered ensembles become more popular this time of year.🥶

So, one of my favourite examples of the perfect essential layered look for men is the 12th Doctor’s costumes from Series 9, that were originally designed by Ray Holman.🧵

It’s also interesting to see in some of the earlier sketches the Holland & Sherry Burgundy Velvet Coat was paired with the more casual elements.👀

In addition, I was lucky enough to get a better fitting pair of screen accurate Hugo Boss Caleb Plaid Trousers, that are now my personal favourites.🤩

Therefore, with all this I decided to put together my own ensemble, that I think would’ve suited Peter Capaldi’s Doctor, with a small nod to one of his favourite musicians.✨

Gallifrey One is a great place to catch up with friends you’ve (usually) not seen in a year, but this time round it’s been a fun two years between catch-ups.

One of the old friends I caught up with this weekend was @timetraverser who I remember first meeting when he was 14 years old in 2017. He recognised me from my blogs and bounded up to me like a puppy with endless energy, quoting postings from my blogs dating back several years.
At the time he wanted to try on my Sixth Doctor coat, which was unsurprisingly too big for him.

Fast forward to this weekend, and it was great to see Cole again - now 19 and at college - with just as much excitement for the show he continues to love.

Again he tried on my Sixth Doctor coat - but this time round it was a much better fit!
