Road-trip to watch the Defenders take down Concordia. Dordt showed up today and Cole had an excellent game…must be the hair! So proud of who this kid is! Loved the Luhi Lions reunion - such amazing young men. Long trip home felt pretty quick streaming SDSU’s victory & cheering on our fav Jackrabbit! Sideline Saturdays are the best!

Only twice have the stars perfectly aligned & we get to have a double game day! Arrived in IA in time to share the dinner table with some amazing kids. Soggy Saturday cheering on the Defenders- hit a quick roadtrip & fan gear change- arriving in SD just after kickoff! Lovely Sunday morning breakfast with our engaged couple. Grateful for every second but missing our Hoosier!

Got to hug three of my four in the Windy City this weekend cheering on the birthday boy #33! Sports parents balance, shared AirPods streaming the Defenders & #2’s big game! Bonus holiday weekend with our Hoosier & some of our Michigan favs! Never easier saying ‘until next time’ but I’m so grateful for the weekend of laughter!

Grown up kids who count each other as best friends…a mom couldn’t dream of more! I am so grateful for the beautiful and unique bond all four of our kids created - forever biggest fans!
Dordt University barely fell short last night but not for lack of heart. Cole played one heck of a game with 17 tackles- his passion is undeniable. So proud of these boys & praising God for this program @dordtuniversityfootball!

Cole’s the most intentional-compulsive, compassionate-inappropriate, deep thinking-lighthearted, serious-fun loving person I know! He’s a Jesus serving, animal whispering, crazy hardworking, card carrying Mensa member, that can never get in trouble because he’s just too darn cute! If you haven’t met him, I hope you get to…your heart will never be the same! I love you beyond measure Cole! Happy birthday & keep hand-walking through life like only you can! Love you more, always!

No words could better describe the love and life of my Dad! 730 days without his voice has sometimes been harder than I can bear, but I strive to live each one hoping this world can say, “You remind me of your dad!” Uniquely reflected in each of my kids, I can confidently assure you- your lessons are still taught, your impact still powerful, and your love still ripples! Forever your little girl, @grmjw1211!

It’s never just a hike with our crew…but always the best adventures! Gracie was not amused with our lack of navigation skills but she recovered soaking in the stream. Bonus, no one got struck by lightening! My favorites make every day beautiful!
