SAVE THE DATE!
On August 22 + 23 we’ll be turning the studio into the shop we would have loved to open if we didn’t open a studio instead — handmade things, found treasures, textiles, ceramics, knick-knacks!

Vendor list, times, and all that jazz to come.

I had the honor of showing my work alongside my talented classmates at @vdlhouse in celebration of our sensei @harukotakeichi 45th anniversary as a Sogetsu artist.

Spirea, bear grass, mizuhiki and bearded iris from my garden in a Mas Ojima ceramic vessel.

Thank you to everyone who came to the show and @elizabethcarababas for the beautiful photos!

Designing Dani’s home in Los Feliz started with the common areas. When I met her in April, her home was a blank canvas: neutrals brought over from an old home in New York, a few great not-yet-hung art pieces, lots of ideas but so far no great guidance on how to bring them all together. This is my favorite place to meet a client - I become an aesthetic private detective and test them with a gamut of ideas until I know them inside and out. One of the first things she said to me was “I’m not a pops of color girl” - imagine my joy when a custom moss green velvet sofa became the anchor for our entire design project! Months of collecting, talking almost daily, collecting special pieces from Mexico City and Palm Springs and Barcelona and the greige room we once knew is now a distant memory ✨
