@collegiate_school Academy of Sport x @spr.conditioning

A look inside our work with the St Michael’s Collegiate Academy of Sport.

The program gives young athletes the opportunity to complete structured strength and conditioning alongside their school and sporting commitments, with individual programming built around their sport, position, training age and physical needs.

Across the program, we’re working with the athletes on:
• Individualised strength programs based on each athlete’s sport and needs
• Building strong movement foundations
• Developing strength, speed and power
• Improving physical resilience and reducing injury risk
• Teaching athletes how to train properly
• Helping athletes understand how gym work can support performance in their sport

The aim is to give each athlete a program that is relevant to them, while building the habits and physical qualities that support long-term athletic development.

3 years working in this program, and is always a rewarding experience watching their development over the years ❤️

That’s a wrap.

For the past five weeks, 42° South: Shanghai Contemporary Art Observations has opened a window.

Of the 1,500 or so visitors, many were inspired and stimulated by the universal questions the artists are exploring.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, attended an event, or simply been curious enough to look through the window.

Huge thanks to our sponsors @hellyersroaddistillery @procreate and @collegiate_school and to all our community partners.

Conscious exchange.
Artistic windows.
Open to possibilities.

For more background, visit 1earthvillage.org/news.

Special thanks to @thehenryjones Art Hotel, Hobart, for hosting the exhibition.

To be continued…

$We’re proud to have brought leading contemporary Chinese artists to Tasmania this winter. The beautiful works of Guo Liwei are currently exhibiting at @thehenryjones Art Hotel. Guo’s brushwork on paper reconstructs natural Chinese landscape imagery, transforming its spiritual essence into a contemporary visual language.
His work reflects on ancient philosophy of the unity of heaven and humanity and meditates on today’s ecological fractures brought about by rapid urbanisation. Landscape is no longer scenery - it becomes a mirror reflecting the evolving relationship between humanity and nature. On exhibition until 19 July in nipaluna/Hobart. Thanks to sponsors @collegiate_school @procreate @hellyersroaddistillery #landscape #art #contemporaryart #China #Tasmania$
