We’ve been on the GO lately as we head into the first days of early voting! 🔥💛

I had the honor of participating in a candidate forum hosted by the Divine Nine through @nphcnds . It was a great opportunity to share why I’m fighting so tirelessly to make #JP6 a court that is accessible, accountable, and free from the influence of special interests. Every person, regardless of their income, deserves a fair shot in our court. And this campaign cannot be bought or paid for.

Afterward, I headed over to the @collinconaacp candidate forum to talk about why it’s so important that we vote ALL the way down the ballot. Local elections have a direct impact on our everyday lives, and these races deserve our attention just as much as the ones at the top of the ticket.

And a special shoutout to @iamskipc aka Skip Cheatham, for sponsoring the event! If you’re a millennial who grew up in DFW, then you already know how COOL this opportunity was! 🙌🏾

We’re in the final stretch, and I’m feeling the momentum. Now it’s time to turn that energy into ACTION. Let’s show up, vote, and make real change happen right here in our community.

This is our year to make history. This is our year to fix JP6.💛🖤

🗳️ EARLY VOTING: October 19-30
🗳️ ELECTION DAY: November 3

Let’s do this, y’all! 💪🏾

Lowkey, being invited in the room and actually feeling like you belong in it? Two different things.

I’ve been in spaces where everybody was nice, but you still had to sit there and figure out who to talk to, what was going on, where you fit, and whether you were doing too much by asking.

And that got me thinking..

Sometimes people don’t need a bigger welcome.

They need less guessing.

Tell me where to start.
Tell me who to ask.
Tell me how I can help.
Make it clear that my presence actually has a place here.

That applies to community spaces, businesses, teams, churches, volunteer work…all of it.

Because opening the door is beautiful.

Preparing the room is what helps people come back.

So here’s the lil piece of good game I’m keeping:

If you’re inviting people into something you’re building, ask yourself:

“Once they get here, will they know how to be part of it?”

That one question can change the whole experience.

Save this for the next room you’re responsible for creating. 🤎

Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it. Having the Collin County NAACP Freedom School walk these streets with us was something else entirely. A powerful group of sharp, curious young people who asked real questions and carried real presence through Black Wall Street. This is exactly why the work matters, planting truth in young minds who will carry it forward. Thank you for bringing them to Greenwood. The ancestors felt that energy. 🖤✊🏾

Jury selection in the Karmelo Anthony trial is underway through Wednesday, with opening statements scheduled for Thursday morning.

The trial is expected to last two weeks and includes more than 30 prosecution witnesses — one of the largest lists Collin County has brought in recent years.

As a courthouse observer, I witnessed inconsistent rule enforcement and repeated denials of supervisory access, raising concerns about transparency and public accountability inside the building.

Transparency. Fairness. Accountability.

Our 254-county campaign surpassed a milestone today—we visited our 50th county!! We’re meeting with Texans all over the state, talking to them about JUSTICE, and LISTENING to them about the big issues in their communities. Sending gratitude to Burnet, Bandera, Harris, Madison, Matagorda, Leon, Travis, Williamson, McLennan, and Collin Counties. Tomorrow we’re back on the road and heading towards Anderson, Rusk, and Cameron Counties.
