I love these installation shots from A SYSTEM IN PLACE at @myhrengallery at University of Denver.

“The show, curated by @studio_bonilla Ramon Bonilla, brings together artists whose work employs instructions, rules, scores, algorithms, and other generative systems as creative frameworks. Presented alongside two wall drawings by Sol LeWitt, the exhibition considers the enduring influence of conceptual practices that separate conception from execution, embrace collaboration, and invite variation within predetermined structures. Rather than tracing a direct lineage, the exhibition highlights the diverse ways contemporary artists continue to adapt, challenge, and expand the possibilities of instruction-based art.”

I have tagged some images and will tag more.

My wall of work, shown in image 12, can also be seen far right in images 3 and 17. The floor piece in images 3 and 4 is Eugene Macki. Tumi Magnusson is image 5.

Still reflecting on Saturday's Beyond Visibility: Strengthening Professional Pathways for Underrepresented Artists at the Arvada Center.

When I founded @co_southasianartists, I wanted to create opportunities for artists whose work and experiences have not always had a place in established arts institutions.

Saturday brought artists, curators, arts leaders, and community partners into the same room to share experiences, question assumptions, and explore what more equitable professional pathways might look like.

I went into the afternoon thinking about what I could offer others. I came away with so much to think about myself.

There is something extraordinary about bringing people together and watching the conversations take directions you could never have anticipated.

Deeply grateful to Bobby Springer for his thoughtful facilitation, to the Arvada Center for hosting us, and to everyone who brought their knowledge, generosity, and curiosity into the room.

And yes, someone has already asked about Part 2! 😊

We so admire the quiet moments in the gallery when the art does all the talking. Works by @robertb407 and @collinparson in dialog with each other. The lights are off so just a little coming through the skylight.

C-SAAG artists @co_southasianartists had a wonderful time at the @arvadacenter last evening, engaging with insightful artist talks and learning more about the process of curating exhibitions, alongside the team of artists from @redlinedenver

A highlight of the evening was hearing directly from curators Collin Parson @collinparson and Olive Jarvis @olive.j.20 during the walkthrough of the artworks from the current exhibit, Tilting West - gaining valuable insight into how exhibitions come together, the thinking behind curatorial decisions, and the broader workings of the arts ecosystem.

This private curator tour was a part of our Professional Development Series thoughtfully arranged by our founder, Bala Thiagarajan @artbybala .

Experiences like these truly reflect our commitment to creating meaningful and enriching opportunities for our artist community.
