World Mental Health Day.

Dumb me I fear losing my brain. Dumb me every single minute is rehab since first take of rehearsals on Saturday, November 23, 2019. That was a brain stem injury by the way. Fatal to most. We also got a continuation of more concussions during the actual filming. & I hopped on the flight w an ice pack unaware of severity. Just all the symptoms worsened until my body started to unregulate temperature. It’s called Post Concussion Dysautonomia. I joined in on Carnivore month starting Dec 2019 w @shawnbaker1967 @joerogan because how I felt. Also learned I also have a spinal cord injury from the movie. 2019 was last time I worked. Start of my seventh year next month.

Honestly I’m so glad I’m still here. Suffering every waking minute but I’m resilient. I can slow down what made it on-camera & educate in-person & to universities to make an impact. Did you know I got pulled to the side to not utilize props to protect me on the last take? Mind you I was already concussed w a contusion &blackeye from rehearsals. Did you know makeup had to cover my black eye? I bet ya didn’t. Anyways, thankful for academia & Ohio & @bu_cte @redbull @alifeinthearts @taitfletcher @joerogan et al

Cheers to (quality) coffee daily for six years now. Change your environment, diet & nutrition & lifestyle to (positively) change your mind. Metabolic intervention

(By the way I stopped coffee for two mo in the beginning of 2020 to see if that would’ve helped me lose consciousness. It did not. Went to the ER twice. 100 hours awake was my first visit. A month & a half of failed pharmaceuticals, nutraceutical & neuromodulations & im still awake / conscious - that was my second visit to ER. Beds all filled w Covid patients so I did not get admitted. That morning I ended my elimination diet & everything & i went to SQIRL.)

Morning walk at Indiana Dunes, followed by a vinyl and coffee session…life is good 🎶☕️

Another incredible coffee from Color Coffee! ☕️ The Ethiopia Hambela Natural is bursting with bright fruit flavors—juicy mango, blueberry, plum, and a really fun melonberry sweetness. As it cools, notes of ginger candy and caramelized sugar come through, leaving a clean, sweet finish. Big fruit, great acidity, and an incredibly vibrant cup. I love @colorroasters ! 💕☕️

Slow Sunday mornings are the best. ☕️🍂

Coffee on the couch, a good blanket, and nowhere to rush.

Enjoying Color Coffee’s Mexico Arturo Ortiz 2026 Harvest — yellow cherry, almond, orange zest and caramel candies. Bright, clean and incredibly smooth with a sweet finish. Fantastic roast from @colorroasters !

And the ChappyWrap Whimsical Woods Sepia blanket is basically made for mornings like this. Soft, cozy and the perfect fall vibe. Thanks @chappywrap ! 🤎

Coffee. Cozy. Quiet. Peaceful.

I ❤️ Color Coffee ☕️

Fresh coffee delivery from the Color Coffee in Eagle Colorado! So excited to try all of this coffee. Thanks @colorroasters ! 📦🚪☕️

ETHIOPIA HAMBELA NATURAL
ORANGE FRUITS, MELONBERRY, GINGER CANDY, BLUEBERRY, PLUM
This is a vibrant, luscious natural from Guji with a surprising amount of brightness. Dried apricot and ripe mango jump out first, with a tart sweetness that gives the coffee a really lively sense of acidity. Then comes this FUN melonberry candy character—juicy, a little artificial in the best possible way, and incredibly elusive.
As it cools, the coffee keeps unfolding. Caramelized sugars, ripe plum, dried blueberry, and a little ginger candy start showing up underneath all that tropical fruit.
Big fruit. Great acidity. Clean.

ARTIST RESERVE: MEXICO ARTURO ORTIZ 2026 HARVEST
YELLOW CHERRY, ALMOND, ORANGE ZEST + CARAMEL CANDIES
Coffee from our friend Arturo Ortiz, based in the village of San Pedro Yosotatu is now live. One of the sharpest and most respected coffee producers in this legendary place, Arturo’s coffee is a unique and exemplary expression of some of the best terroir in Mexico. Clean and vibrant with expansive flavor notes of yellow cherry, almond, orange zest, and caramel candies.

PREMIUM BLEND PRISM
BRIGHT FRUIT + COMPLEX SUGARS
CLEAN FINISH
Prism is our kaleidoscope blend — vivid, layered, and constantly evolving.
Built from a rotating selection of our favorite washed coffees, Prism captures brightness, sweetness, and structure in one dynamic cup. Expect vibrant fruit up front, balanced by deep caramel sweetness and a clean, lingering finish.

ARTIST RESERVE: JACOB WHISHMAN
COLOMBIA PABLO GÓMEZ - WASHED GEISHA
STRAWBERRY COOLER, JASMINE, LYCHEE, APRICOT, FLORAL
Proper Geisha, from Panamanian seed stock. Pablo Gómez’s washed Geisha is incredibly elegant and floral, but there’s a surprising amount of fruit underneath it. Strawberry cooler, lychee, ripe apricot, and jasmine all show up in a cup that’s delicate, juicy, and exceptionally clean.

The Eagle County spots I’d send you to before anywhere else down valley.

Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my Local Vail, CO Guide.

These are the small businesses in Eagle and Gypsum I actually spend my money at, and the ones I send clients to the week they move in. If you’re staying in Vail, every one of these is worth the drive down I-70.

• Eagle River Brewing in Gypsum. Veteran-owned and all about lagers. Get the Oktoberfest, it took gold at the Colorado Brewers Cup.
• Tu Casa in Gypsum. Family-run with Veracruz roots and a seafood-heavy menu. Order the ceviche tostadas and thank me later.
• Pickled. Kitchen + Pantry on Market Street in Eagle. Worth the drive from anywhere in the valley for the sandwiches alone, and grab something from the pantry on your way out.
• Boone’s Wine & Spirits, right next door to Pickled. 1,400+ wines and a staff that actually knows them. Make it a two-stop trip.
• Mauka Poke Bar on Chambers Ave in Eagle. The freshest poke you’ll find in the mountains. If you’ve never been, that’s the one to fix first.
• Color Coffee in Eagle Ranch. They roast in-house, and the patio is the move on a sunny morning.
• Lilith Moon Exchange on Broadway in downtown Eagle. Curated secondhand with a little witchy magic. Bring in your closet cleanout, leave with something better.
• Everyday Outfitters on Broadway in Eagle. The jeans selection alone is worth the stop.

Tag the ones I missed. I’m always adding to the list.

Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my Local Vail, CO Guide.

Sam Gerstein, a Vail, CO real estate agent providing not only distinctive representation but also helping you unlock the lifestyle you long for.

Serving Vail, Avon, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum, Eagle County, and the greater Vail Valley.
