Loving these two books by my friend @colortheapy 💖 they are the perfect companion for colorist 🥰🫶🏻 I love that I can track all my books from my collection in one place, and the palette journal is definitely a must for every colorist out there, I can have all my palettes for future reference in one place and like I say “collect them” 🤭🥰 both of these help me with my artist OCD, before these I was a little lost to be honest! Thankyou @colortheapy for recommending them my coloring is so much organized now 🫶🏻💖

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your creativity is step away from your own projects for a while.

I've been working on several ongoing projects, so I decided to join my wonderfully talented friend Thea's buddy color challenge. Her prompt was "Moonlight Walk," and the illustration she created is called "Lost in Thought." The title felt incredibly fitting because every year around my birthday I often find myself feeling a little lost in my thoughts.

This birthday, though, brought an unexpected gift: clarity.

I realized that many of the things I had spent years believing were simply character flaws were actually connected to my brain's difficulty regulating emotions. That realization has given me a new perspective. I can't change the past, but I can choose how I move forward.

I'm choosing to seek help, build routines that support me, and make room for the creative things that truly bring me joy—even if that means doing things that don't come naturally, like keeping a schedule.

One of my favorite details in this piece is the colorful ribbon wrapped around her dress. It isn't just inspired by my birthday—it is the ribbon that came straight off my birthday cake. It felt like the perfect reminder that even life's ordinary moments can become part of something beautiful.

As I begin another year, I'm choosing to spend less time lost in dark thoughts and more time creating colorful ones.

I hope this piece reminds you that you are wonderfully unique, beautifully imperfect, and worthy of seeing the color in your own life. 💜
