Running with people can be scary having to match paces or distances, but it can also be one of the most fun and rewarding things you can do.

Friends will ensure that no one gets left behind so message a friend, join a social run club or our WhatsApp community and you’ll quickly see the benefits of no longer running alone.

Another weekend another meetup! This time @gooleparkrun played host to the sad miles community.

This meet-up even featured a super secret community member making the trip, who will be revealed during tomorrows community takeover!

A big thank you goes out to Goole parkrun for having us during their Pride Parkrun!

More meet ups coming very soon so keep your eyes out 👀

What a day. 💚

Today was my first time meeting up with some of the Sad Miles community, and what a brilliant day it turned out to be.

We headed over to Coventry to take part in the parkrun, which also happened to be my very first parkrun. It’s hard to believe I’ve never managed to make one before.

Meeting so many amazing people, sharing stories, taking photos, filming videos, and running together made today really special.

I was also happy to come away with a sub-30-minute 5K, which was an added bonus.

The photos and videos from today are something I’ll look back on with a smile. Who knows? If I can build up the confidence, you might even see me in a few more videos in the future.

A huge thank you to everyone in the Sad Miles community for making Gemma and Myself welcome. It was a lovely day, and I can’t wait to do it all again soon. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to run, walk or jog for their mental health. It was brilliant to meet you, share the miles and catch up over a coffee afterwards.

Thank you to @coventryparkrun for having us and making everyone feel so welcome!

There will definitely be more sad miles club. meet-ups in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for the next one. 👀

🌲🌲🏃🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ The end of the Rasselbock Marathon 😔

Well, that’s it, three years of the Rasselbock marathon, each bigger and better than the last and an absolute honour to host. We’ve not had time to take a look at any feedback yet, but the parts that have slipped through have been overwhelming, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we have put together over these three events.

There are so many people who have been a part of this event since the very first year through until the end of this year's event.

Deb and Simon, who have been with us since we came up with the event idea, have been meeting at all times of the week and then taking control of the volunteers throughout the event weekend.
Andy and Tanya, who have taken over the South side of the forest for the past few years, made sure that every marshal and volunteer was ok throughout the event and made sure that every runner was fed and watered.
Leanne for taking charge of a whole area of the forest, to again, make sure all the volunteers were well looked after.
Andy, Leslie, and Matt Beere, for turning up at random times throughout the three years and just taking jobs away from Jonathan and me without any hesitation (and looking after the parents on race day!)
The What The Fartleck team, for not only MCing all three events, but also bringing together a whole team of pacers to keep you all on track during the summer heat.
Russel and Kim for manning and taking charge of the registration duties and finish line sections.
Aplus for being amazing medical cover, and making sure that you were all cared for throughout every event.
Mitchals Transport, who have donated the truck stage, year after year, without a second thought. You helped make the village look massive!
The lovely Rhoda who supports endlessly through countless long days and nights.
Every food vendor and small business that has come along and been a part of the event.
