Our very first exhibition as the SDAC Collective came to an end tonight. We are all so chuffed with all the visitors and buyers! 10 paintings found happy new owners! This is simply amazing. It was a little bittersweet to wrap all up tonight. But... The show must go on! Stay tuned for our next announcement! It starts very soon. Le Chéile is not retiring: it's going on its very own Tour! I don’t think I can quite put into words how proud I am to be part of such a diverse, talented and downright brilliant group of creatives. ❤️ And to think it started with a few conversations, a few texts and one little WhatsApp group… 😂 After the LEO Awards night, myself and Lisa Simpson @lisa_simpson_art got chatting about creating a little group where artists could swap advice, share experiences and socialise. Naturally, it needed a name… South Dub Da Vincis 🤌😂 I do love a good pun 🙈 But it remained...Population: myself and Lisa. 😂 Until the fabulous Ekaterina @katsartcabin invited me for coffee and a chat about setting up an actual collective. That very day, the texts went out and the bones of South Dublin Art Collective began to form. ❤️ I’ll forever be grateful to everyone who took a chance and replied YES to joining our slightly mad little adventure (not knowing what thay had got themselves into🤣) and to Lisa and Ekaterina for those early conversations that inevitably turned into something very very real. And what a group we’ve created. We’re a wonderfully diverse collective, bursting with knowledge, experience and expertise. All at different stages of our creative careers, but each person brings their own unique voice, perspective and strengths. We learn from each other, support each other and bring out strengths in one another that we might not always see in ourselves. And THAT is what makes this collective so special. None of this could have happened without that support. From our logo and poster to planning and pulling off our first exhibition, it has genuinely been a collective effort. Even the name, beautifully chosen by Margaret Farrell couldn’t have been more fitting. Le Chéile = togetherness❤️ And that’s exactly what this exhibition has embodied. Artists supporting artists, sharing knowledge, lifting each other up and creating something none of us could have created alone. I’m bursting with excitement to see where this takes us next, but mostly I’m just incredibly proud and grateful. I found my tribe. ❤️ Love yis, ye absolute ledgeballs. 🫶 Thank you all for your wisdom

And seeing it all finally come together is pretty special. We are all so incredibly proud of what we’ve created together. 🥹✨ A MASSIVE thank you to South Dublin Local Enterprise Office @leosouthdublin for sponsoring our inaugural exhibition and helping us bring this big idea of ours to life. ❤️ Huge thanks to Vision Ireland @vision_ireland_retail for partnering with us by lending the fabulous preloved furniture that helped turn our vision of a quirky, vintage store styled exhibition into a reality. ✨ To Anna May @anna.may.floral.designs also a fellow SDCC LEO client, thank you for the absolutely gorgeous floral arrangements that added that final bit of magic to our space. 💐✨ We would like to say a very special thank you to Sally and Christy at The Old Courthouse @oldcourthouserathcoole for all their help, encouragement and support along the way. 🥳✨ IT’S OFFICIAL… ✨🥳 We’ve been hinting… we’ve been planning… and we’ve been saying “watch this space” for long enough 👀😂 Soooo without further hesitation we are absolutely delighted to FINALLY announce the South Dublin Art Collective’s Inaugural Exhibition......Le Chéile! 🧡 Le Chéile means “together” and we honestly couldn’t think of a more fitting name for our very first exhibition. From 25th September – 1st October, 14 artists from different backgrounds, cultures and walks of life will come together under one roof at The Old Courthouse, Rathcoole, each bringing their very own story, voice and creative vision. 🎨 Different stories. Different voices. Brought together through Art, united as One Collective. And yes… after approximately 472 versions, a few group chats, some artistic differences and possibly the loss of our collective sanity… THE POSTER IS FINALLY HERE! 😂🙌 We are ridiculously excited to finally share this with you and even more excited to welcome you through the doors. 📍 The Old Courthouse, Rathcoole 🥂 Opening Launch: 25th September: 6:30–8:30pm 🎨 Open House: 26th September–1st October: 11am–4pm ☕ Meet the Artists: 1st October | 4–6pm We would like to take this opportunity to express a HUGE thank you to our sensational sponsors, the absolute legends at South Dublin Local Enterprise Office! 🧡 As valued members of SCENE (South Dublin Creative Economy Network) we have been incredibly lucky to have the support of the Local Enterprise Office behind us. Their sponsorship and support have helped us take Le Chéile from an idea stage to actually getting our very first exhibition off the ground. ✨ Supporting artists, creativity and community is exactly what this exhibition is all about, so having them in our corner means the world to our little Collective as we take this BIG first step. Thank you for believing in what we’re building and helping us make it happen! 🧡 So save the date, spread the word and come celebrate with us! 🥂 This is just the beginning… Le Chéile, together through art. ✨ Ní neart go cur le chéile.....there is no strength without unity🫶 #ArtExhibition #SupportLocalArtists #community
