POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’ve been drinking their coffee for months. Now it’s time to hear the story behind it. ☕️

Meet Gonçalo, one of the brothers behind @combi_coffee , Porto’s beloved coffee roastery and coffee shop, and our October CreativeMornings speaker!

But here’s where the story gets interesting.

Before coffee, there was engineering. Gonçalo studied in the UK, explored the world of motorsport, and got his hands into all kinds of making, building, and experimenting.

So how did an engineer working toward a career in racing end up living what many of us secretly dream about — opening a coffee shop?

And what does it take to turn curiosity into craft, and an idea into something people love?

This October, we’re exploring #ALTITUDE. Not just how high we can climb, but the unexpected paths, changes in direction, and leaps of faith that take us somewhere new.

Join us next week to hear Gonçalo’s story, share some curiosity, and, of course, have a good cup of coffee together.

A few moments from launch week.

1. Favourite outfit from this week, love the red pop from the leaves 🍁
2. Same old… yoghurt breakie
3. Snippet from content for TikTok (may post it here too!)
4. Coffee, work, coffee, work etc….
5. My mum sent me this photo, which is the same place we did the first shoot for décolletage
6. Flowers from the cafe I was working in - loved the pink
7. Fingers-tapping away before launch tomorrow
8. A very good Avo toast lunch
9. Taking in beautiful Porto, we’ll miss it so much. On to Lisbon next
10. Getting some content inspo
11. Piece 001 glistening, always looks fab with a white shirt
12. Post work trip to the beach
13. Latest evening sweet treat, after dinner magnum. If you haven’t tried them I highly suggest you do

The memories I make I hope will stay with me. These posts make me think about the thing we keep, and the people & places they remind us of

It’s what I hope a piece from Décolletage can become. A gift to a daughter or sister, a niece, a special friend or just for you. Something she will wear now, gather memories whilst wearing it, and hopefully pass on one day to do the same for the next generation.

Piece 001 officially launches tomorrow, 15 October @ 10am UK (GMT) 🤍

Between tradition and specialty, @anotherporto.pt led us on a walk through both worlds. ☕

Monday morning, we started at @combi_coffee, one of Porto’s oldest specialty coffee shops. Then came the most traditional pairing of all, coffee and croissant at @confeitariachicana. We ended at @vonandvonnie with a rare coffee variety, tasted as cold brew.

From the first sip to the last, Porto has a lot to say about coffee. We have a full week to talk about it.
